Time for scrapbooking!
This Friday is our scrapbook club meeting and it's all about Halloween! My goal is to complete my journaling before club on Friday. Wish me luck.
The left hand page is all about decorating our Halloween gingerbread house. It's a tradition in the Burns' house. The right hand page is trick or treating day. Andrew loves the chocolate bars and Nathan is all about the gummy, sugary candies! I just love it all.
It's so much fun to use punches to create different things. See if you can identify which punches I used.
Thanks for stopping by!
Cheers,
K

Morning! Coffee anyone?
Good morning!
Happy Tuesday! I spent Monday getting back into the groove of being home again and it didn't take me long for my desk to look like this.
Does this dispel all the myths of how tidy and organized I am? I was busy creating possible kids crafts for Nathan's school craft night so it was a productive day and one that created lots of little bits of paper everywhere!
On to what I created in Pincher Creek.
These are for the Lake Bonavista Craft Fair I am participating in on November 19 and 20th.
I made lots for teacher gifts, bus drivers, dance teachers, piano teachers, stocking stuffers and so many more possibilites. Cost will be $1.50 each or 4/$5. Contact me for pre-ordering larger quantities or I'll see you at the fair.
Cheers,
K

Yep, it's a replica Tim's and Starbucks coffee cup. And lookee what's inside? A gift card! |

Cardmaker's Technique page
Here is the technique page for our club meeting last night.
I love trying out new techniques and sometimes old techniques with new stamps.
Challenge yourself today - bring out a stamp and FAUX EMBOSS IT! The tree is stamped in both white craft and Old Olive (the same colour as the background paper) and it looks a little fuzzy up close but from far away it looks raised.
Faux Embossing
Stamp your image in white craft ink and heat set to dry. Using a Stamp a ma jig, stamp on your imaging sheet. Place imaging sheet to the left or right depending on where you want the shadow. Stamp image the in the same colour ink as cardstock.
Cheers,
K

Cardmaker's Club tonight!
Good morning!
Just a super quick post to share the club projects I'll be doing tonight. I'm super excited to get together with these lovely ladies and create some cards tonight.
I'm so in love with the Stitiched Stockings Stamp set that I knew I had to dedicate one club to the versatility of this great set and co-ordinating punch.
I have done many cards with this set as a stocking but this is my first baby card.
I used the same pieces of paper to create two different looks to this card.
And here is my stocking sample with the blingy silver cardstock!
I will share our technique page tomorrow - Faux Dry Embossing

Back to work!
Well, I have been MIA for the past 3 days in the blogging world, but not from the crafting world.
I had a personal goal to set aside time for me and family during this long weekend but I seriously could NOT take advantage of this opportunity to get ahead or at least get caught up on my clubs and classes. While I'm NOT ahead of the game I did get quite a bit done. WHEW!
I have yet to take photo of my latest works but I do have something new to share. At the end of this month I'm lucky enough to have a fun class booked with a new group of ladies. I look forward to meeting all of you.
In our class we are going to create this Accordian Fold Album made with the Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper. This album would look great on your mantle or shelf full of family pictures.
Just wait until you see my Christmas version (hint, hint). The wait will be worth it.
Thanks for stopping by.

K

Nugget tins
I made several of these tins for my last craft fair and have a few leftover. If you are in the need for a hostess gift for this weekend just let me know.
All the Halloween ones are gone. Sorry :(
Recently I made a card with two of my new favourite sets - French Foilage and Field Flowers. Thanks to Teneale Williams a demonstrator in Australia. Check her out, she does fabulous cards. I struggle with the antiquey (is that a word?) looking cards but these stamp sets do all the work for you!
Thanks for stopping by.

October WOW class
WOW, oh WOW oh WOW! Ever wish you had a "different style" of card to share with your friends? This class is for you! For just $10 or an order of $30 come make 3 cards each with a unique fold. Even better go home with templates and instructions to create more!
Then a multi-fold card with multiple panels to show off stamps or your favourite Designer Series paper. Mini clothes pegs - oh too cute!
And last but not least a double pocket card. I used some retired pattern papers I had lying around. This is fantastic card to use those single sheets of pattern papers you have. In the pockets I added two tags but you could easily add a gift card and a message in the second pocket.
First a side stair step card. I love this single A La Carte stamp Something for Christmas.
