Happy Daylight Savings day!

I hope you all enjoyed that extra hour of sleep - I know I did!

Yesterday's craft fair was an interesting experience.  While it wasn't a "barn buster" it was fun and I learned a few tips that I will take to my next craft fair.  I met a few new papercrafter's that live right here in Copperfield and neighbouring communities so I hope to see some of you soon at a class or workshop.

It was nice to see some familiar faces (Hi Shelley, Angela and Patti), thanks for stopping by.

I just had to share the "snow" I added to my house.  Thanks Nicole and Allison for the comments about MORE SNOW!  I know I'll be regretting my choice on Monday if it snows for real.  I saw this post on Jenn Picard's blog and it reminded me of this technique for making icicles.  I have tried it before but it's been a while.  Note:  Use lots of Crystal Effects in a nice thick layer.  If you use a thin layer it is much harder to get it off the wax paper.

Just Dazzling Diamonds and a 2 Way glue pen.
Hope you have a great Sunday :)

Cheers,
K

PS Make sure you check your clocks - Remember to FALL back!

Christmas close ups

Just a few close ups of the cards from yesterday.  I am enjoying the sunny weather, hope you are too :)

I love the way the large scallop punch looks with the smaller one.

I think I could have put that decorative label punch on all the cards.

Blog Candy

Hi everyone

I haven't done a blog candy in a while so here goes. . .

Post a comment or follow me and you will be entered to win a selection of 10 Christmas cards.  I'll choose (or more accurately get one of the kids to choose) the winner next week.  What's a blog candy?  You can't unwrap it, taste it or smell it nor will it add calories to your diet.  It's just a little treat or goodie for coming to visit my blog.

It's that EASY!

Onto today's new post.

I often get teased that I'm a NEAT FREAK.   Well, if you ask Pete he would adamantly disagree with you as my bed side table is a DISASTER!   I don't even think you can see the table part of it.  Enough disclosure.

Well, yesterday while I was creating I thought I'd better take a photo of the creative process.  I too get messy! (but honestly after I took the photo I had to clean up), but not until I finished all the cards.

So while blog hopping (or visiting other blogs) I came across Gretchen Barron's fantastic cards with the Hollly & Jolly rub-ons and Jolly Holiday Designer Series paper.  Then I came across Lee Ann Greff's wonderful tutorial as well.  These ladies are soo talented why re-event the wheel.

So I created these.  I kept some of the designs the same and others I changed.
The Holly & Jolly rub-ons are on page 184 of the Idea Book and Catalogue and only $9.75 for 4 sheets.  These cards were created with 3 sheets of each Very Vanilla, Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler.  A little Jolly Holiday pattern paper (and I do mean just a little), some Cherry Cobbler seam binding, Very Vanilla and Old Olive Taffeta.   A few punches thrown in and voila!  10 great cards.

So don't forget to join me or post a comment and you will be entered to win a selection of 10 Christmas cards.  Not the ones above but a great selection of cards that I have created in the past few months.

Kids Class sneak peek

I can't believe a month has gone by already and this week is Kids Stamp Camp.  I was a little stressed how I was going to top the BOO and Spooky banner we made last month.  Now, I don't think I "topped" it but I do think they will have fun creating some Holiday treats.

My Step 2 projects for Sunday.  A snowglobe card, 2 BIG clips, a mini wish book a matching pen AND I am planning on do-it-yourself time to create 3 fabulous Christmas cards.  My group is sooo creative I know their cards will knock my socks off.

Paper Crafter's Workshop - We will begin an All About Me scrapbook.  Here are a few of the layouts we will be starting.  I can't wait to hear about some interesting and fun facts about my paper crafter's.

Double pocket Christmas card

I love this card!  I really do!  I bought the Contempo Christmas bundle to create some new cards for a few upcoming workshops and I have fallen in love!

Both the Contempo Christmas stamp set AND Jolly Holiday Designer Series paper are only 25.96 (wood mount) or 21.96 (clear mount).  Can you believe it!  This set has everything - two focal images, an inside message and the Merry Christmas sentiment.  Go check out the Handmade Holiday sales now!  There are several bundles all at 20% off.
And the paper is to die for!!  I created the card base from an 8 1/2 x 11 piece cut from this paper. This pack contains 12 sheets of 12x12 double sided cardstock.
Here is what the inside tags look like.

Here is the link to a tutorial on how to create this double pocket card.Have any questions - give me a shout and I'll help you out.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy November 1st!

I know I have been creating Christmas things FOREVER but now it can officially begin (without guilt) because Halloween is done!

The kids had a fantastic time trick or treating last night and I liked staying warm and handing out the candy.

Soo, curious about what I have been working on??

I bought the Design a House FOREVER ago and I finally cracked open the package last week.   Here is my creation. Uber cute - don't you think?

Here are the details up close.

I think I may add some more glitter or "snow" to the trees, what do you think?? Snow or no snow?

Thanks for stopping by.
