And the winner is . . .

My first 50 in 50 board is full.  Pete and I created a video of the draw, but we can't seem to figure out how to post it.  I'm kind of glad as I sounded kinda dorky :)

So I took some pics to document the draw instead.

Here is the full board.

The contents of the sealed envelope. The spot was chosen on a co-ordinate system.

The colour was Tangerine Tango and Congrats Tracy H on winning the $50 gift certificate!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend!  I'm just recovering from a lovely family break in Banff  and getting ready for my BIG day on the phone as I try to book a TON of workshops on Tuesday.  Wish me luck.

Cheers,
K

Playing with the Rock n' Roll technique

For my October Cardmaker's club I am highlighting the Rock n' Roll technique. Honestly I haven't done this technique very much nor was I successful with it when I tried it the first time .

One of my friends and downline Tova created this fantastic card and I knew I had to re-visit this technique.

Once I started I couldn't stop - I made three Rock n' Roll projects for our club meeting this month and here's a sneak peek at one of them.  Inspired by Tova and the Colour Coach for helping me with the colour combo. This one is Regal Rose, Blushing Bride and Early Espresso with Greenhouse Garden and Word Play stamp sets.

There is still room in our Cardmakers group so contact me if you'd like to learn this technique and are free on the 4th Wednesday of each month.

A great reason to host a workshop!

Two words - BIRTHDAY BAKERY!!!

I LOVE this set!  Love is not a strong enough word.  This set makes great kid, female or male birthday cards and can't you see the cakes along the bottom of a scrapbook page.  You CAN NOT buy this set - you can only earn it free with a workshop or class with sales that total a minimum $200.  Trust me that is not hard to do!  Gather some friends together, snacks and I provide the crafts! :)

What a productive day!

I planned to get lots accomplished yesterday and thankfully it was a success!

Here is the Playdate page for my scrapbook club on the 22nd. I love the Simple Alphabet for titles on my pages.  They are the perfect size and right font for this page.  We'll be using Designer Series Paper as accents as well as the Quick Accents on page 176 of the Idea book and Catalogue.

Here are the sizes of photos you will need for our club meeting.

1 - 5x7
1 - 4x6
3 - 3 1/2 x 3 1/2

Choose from Playdate or Celebrations for our scrapbooking workshop.

K

A free gift!

Good Morning!

Stampin’ UP! is hosting a book-a-thon on Tuesday, October 12th and challenging all demonstrators to book the most workshops in ONE DAY!  If, we as a group, book 5000 workshops then as a demonstrator I will win a free stamp set. Please help me reach this goal!!  Who doesn’t love free rubber!

Are you thinking, “What’s in it for me?”  Everyone that books a workshop on the 12th will be put into a draw for the stamp set Friends Never Fade (value 21.95).  Like I said who doesn’t love free rubber! Not only can you have a great night crafting with friends you could earn free hostess sets and hostess dollars to spend as you wish.

Now, I have teeny weeny phone phobia so I want you to be glad that I called on October 12th!  When I call you to gather some friends for a fun night of stamping if you give me the codeword hidden in this post - I have a little gift for you. I would love to have you book something with me, but even if you don’t, just give me the codeword and you win. Super easy - FREE stuff is always fun!

If you book a workshop/class with me on the 12th, you will receive your choice of either Basic Rhinestones or Pearls (reg value 6.50) at your workshop/class date.  If you are busy or working on the 12th then just email me or leave a comment on my blog saying PHONE ME and I’ll phone you first!!! I am going to be working diligently to phone as many of you as I can but if I don't get a hold of you by 7pm please call me with the code word.

Start checking your calendars for a date to book a workshop or class.  Starting Oct 19th - Dec 16th there are some amazing Holiday Mini bundles that Stampin UP has created for the holidays.  A Vintage Christmas bundle (Bells and Boughs set and Deck the Halls paper), Tags til Christmas Bundle with the Decorative label punch and several others all at 20% off. The codeword is PINK in honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Can’t find a date in the fall? I am booking Sale-A-Bration workshops between January 25 - March 31!  Sale-A-Bration is a fantastic time to host a workshop as both hostesses and attendees benefit with free goodies.

I’m excited about this challenge and hope you can help me get over my phone phobia :)

Don't forget--think PINK , and have a date in mind for when I call you!!

Cheers,

Kind of embarassing :)

My house has been quite the hub of stamping activity for WELL over a month now.  So on the weekend I had not one but TWO customers ask if my house was like this all the time.  As I looked around I did notice that there are card displays, samples, catalogues, and more all around my living room. Doesn't everyone live like that!  Um, I don't think so.  In my defense Pete doesn't mind.  I keep asking if he wants me to put it all the tables away if there is a week in between classes and his comment is always, "Why bother?"

So I wanted to prove to myself that I could actually have a "normal" living room.

This is last week getting ready for a card buffet.

And this is now!  There are some small reminders or clues of the craft space that is actually my living room but it looks like a relatively normal house to me.

There is one area I'm not showing but you can't deprive me of all my crafting space!  I have this one table set up prepping for my October buffet.

Tomorrow is my creating day so wish me luck and I hope to post a new card or two tomorrow.

Cheers,
K
