Festive Flurry Wreath

I'm super excited to have my Ornamental Elegance class today!  One because I'll be seeing some ladies I haven't seen in a while plus many friends that come to classes often and two) I get to show off my new wreath!

Once I saw this wreath created with the Festive Flurries Ornament kit and had to re-create one myself.

I used the backing paper we received from our Designer Series paper packages and traced a dinner plate for the base and then a smaller salad plate for the inside.  I used the ribbon in the kit for the hanger and then picked up some sparkly ribbon to make the bow.

There are kits still available so go check them out online and order yours today!

K

Dress frame class

What a weekend!!!  It was high fashion here at my place!

Thank you so much to everyone who attended the dress frame class on Sunday afternoon.  The weather cooperated (phew, no snow) and we had a great time.  I GROSSLY underestimated the time needed to create these but everyone was super cooperative and allowed for people to finish up, choose papers and die cut their fun dresses.  Check out these amazing finished creations.

These ones were so simply amazing!  She brought some pattern paper and card stock so we could match the colours of her room.  The finished project was beautiful!
What a great creative way to use the scallop punch for the belt.

What a cute choker necklace on the middle dress.  I really like the green dress too!

Some super creative ladies with scissors.  See the neckline on the pink dress and the added length.  Oooo la la!

A stunning colour palette!  Purples and Early Espresso.  Tres chic!

I could wear any one of these ensembles!  I love the yellow dress!

All of these dresses are so co-ordinated.  I can definitely see any of these in a store front showing how you can mix and match pieces!
What an amazing day and so much fun to create all these great pieces!  Now if they could only come out with a hockey jersey die?!?!?  I know I'd have a great class all ready to go!

More frames to share so check back in tomorrow!

Cheers,
K

When the spring catalogue came out this was one product that I WAS NOT going to purchase.  WHY DO I need dress framelits?  I have boys!  I knew when I went to Orlando I was sure to be Wooo'ed by all the fantastic ideas and swaps I would receive and I was right.

I came home and held strong for a WHOLE two days before they ended up on my MUST BUY list!

I saw this idea on Patty Bennett's blog and knew I had to create a class like hers.  So here is my version.

Summer Frame Class

Here is the last installment in my frame class.

Sorry the photo isn't the greatest.  I used the bright coloured papers from Summer Smooches!  It makes me wish for SUN!

The date for this class is Tuesday, June 19th
Time - 10-12 or 6-8pm
Cost - $32 framed or $20 just the insert

Please let me know ASAP if you'd like to join the class or need a kit to go.

Here is the recipe for the Skor Bars that I made for my open house.  If you ever need a sugar rush then these are FOR YOU!

1c butter
1/2 c brown sugar
Salted Premium Plus crackers
1 bag butterscotch chips
1 bag milk chocolate chips

Pre heat oven to 350 degrees.  Combine the 2 bags of chips together and set aside.  Fill parchment lines baking sheet with crackers, salted side up.  Melt butter and sugar together, bring to boil and boil for one minute.  Spread butter mixture evenly over crackers and let stand for 5 min.  Bake for 8-10 min.  Watch for burning.

Immediately upon removal from the oven, spread chips evenly over crackers.  Let stand until the chips are shiny and melted.  Use a spatula and smooth chips out.  Place in the fridge until the chocolate has hardened and cut into squares or break into pieces.  Refrigerate for 1 hour and place in a container.  Keep refrigerated.

Try them soon.  You won't be sorry!!

Fabulous Framed Art ** Kits to go!

During the year I have created several seasonal Framed Art pieces.  The classes have been quite popular for both gifts and people making them for their homes.

The next class is on April 10th where will be creating this SPRING framed piece.  Time of the class is 6-8 and there are 4 spots remaining.

BUT many people have missed out on the FAMILY and NOEL class.

Until April 2nd you can purchase a "kit to go".  I will prep the NOEL and FAMILY framed pieces so you can create this piece at home. Supplies are limited and the cost is $20 without the frame.

Don't miss out on this opportunity to get a complete season of framed art.

The summer version is still to come.

Cheers,
K

FAMILY Framed Art

I am SOOOO excited to share this creation I made on the weekend.  The ladies at my card buffet were able to see it in REAL LIFE and if you stop by my Retired Sale on Thursday I'll show you too!

Last week I received a HUGE box of new goodies that will be in the upcoming Holiday Mini catalogue (as a demo I get a sneak peek to start preparing for clubs and classes.)  I hope that most of you have received this in the mail by now and if you haven't I'm sure it's coming soon.  If you aren't on my mailing list contact me and I will make sure to mail you out one ASAP.

Okay, back to the cool project.  A fellow demonstrator, Lisa, has created this super cute framed art projects here.  I love her blog so make sure you check it out. I saw this project in the spring and knew I wanted to re-create it.  Once I received the new Spice Cake Designer Series paper, matching fabric and BIG buttons (oh and I do mean REALLY big) I knew I had the perfect supplies to create my own framed art piece.

(drum roll) TA DA!

Sooo, what do you think?  I'm thinking of creating a class to make this frame - would you come?   Leave me a comment telling me what you think.

Cheers,
K
