We made it home!

At 4:00am but home nonetheless.  I'm so happy that Pete was able to switch around his schedule and let me sleep in.  I had one bag was still missing and now I had to take inventory on what I had with me and what was somewhere between here and Nashville.

Toiletries - ????
Clothes - ????
Leadership bag - ????
All my purchases from Momento Mall - ????

Make n' takes - check
Swaps - check

I guess I have to be thankful those aren't missing.

Keep your fingers crossed that it will show up today.

Cheers,
K

**Sorry that my blog has been so hard to follow this past week.  I had my card samples with ribbon set up to post while I was gone but wanted to share some posts from Leadership.

Still travelling . . .

What a comedy of errors :)

Another flight delay, a bag lost and now arriving in Calgary after 2am.  Seriously what more could go wrong!

I still have a smile on my face and will eventually get back home.

Here is a cheery card I saw at Convention.

See you soon, but not too soon as I'm going to be sleeping in tomorrow or is that today??  Who knows!

Cheers,
K

Make n' Takes from Leadership

As promised here are the make n' take projects from Leadership.

There were so much fun to create as you can see.

Each of these boxes contain all the parts for our Make n' Takes.

All the tables set for the party!
We aren't having any fun at all!
The make n' takes were very different (or so I'm told) from year's past. Sorry about the strange lighting on some of these.
DVD Note book holder

Very Vintage brooch featuring the Beveled window panes and the Springtime Vintage fabric.

Amour insert

Bird on a Wire insert

Monogram insert

For you card
Hope you enjoyed seeing these projects.  I really enjoyed making them as they were outside my box of creative comfort.  I challenge you to make something today that is out of your "box."  Leave me a comment that you are going to join in my challenge and then send me an email and pic of your card/project. At the end of the week I'll choose a winner to receive a surprise goodie from my Leadership stash :)

Have a great day!

Leadership update - Day 3

Greetings from Nashville!

Today was OUR day in Nashville and it began with a BIG sleep in.  We have been so exhausted from fantastic Leadership Conference we deserved some extra ZZZZ's.

We took a trip to downtown and took in the sites and sounds of the town.  Can you believe there is Country Music piped into these electrical boxes on each street corner?

Country Music Hall of Fame

Predators were playing the Blackhawks tonight! It's their hockey team (I had to explain that to Allison and Kim, hee hee.)

A collection of bars along the downtown Nashville strip.

The Ryman Auditorium

Country Music Walk of Fame
We had a great walk around town, shopped a bit and then headed back to the hotel.

Now it's packing time or rather cramming time!

Thanks for checking in and tomorrow I'll post the ribbon card as well as some pics of our make n' takes from Leaderships. They were out of this world!

Cheers,
K

Leadership update - Day 2

Unbelievable! Incredible! Awesome! Fantastic! And so much more!

I can't believe that Leadership has come to an end. I {heart} Stampin Up so very much! WWWWAAAYYYY more than I did yesterday even :)

I am so tired, but I want to show you a few pics from Day 2.  I will post more over the coming days but I just want to get some sleep :)

We ALL got FREE STUFF!  Glitter paper, glitter brads and chunky glitter!

They dress up like stamps!

We got free buttons, fabric, stamps and a digital CD!  I'm not kidding!!

ALL this in our Make n' Takes!  Again not kidding!  I'll show you what we actually made with these bits!

A super duper Petal cone die project!

I can't wait to go to Convention in July - are you with me??

My eyes are closing now.  I'll share more tomorrow :)

Leadership update- WOW moments

Morning

Now I'm really going to try and post some pictures from Day one.

Here are a few WOW moments for me.

During the fantastic November Kit special they had a "stage walk" to recognize all the efforts of the demos that did promote to different titles.  Normally this is just done at Convention but I'm happy to say that I was able to walk across the stage but so did a member in my downline.  Way to go Allison - I'm so proud of you!

Here she is strutting her stuff for becoming a Counselor.
That's me :)  I'm a Senior Counselor now!

While the bulk of the day was spent in interesting classes, lunch at an Irish pub, some great news about the demo side of Stampin UP and of course PRIZE PATROL (no we haven't won anything yet) I couldn't believe dinner!

Check out the service we get - 1000 Stampin UP demos are then served DINNER!  WOW!

It's always to great to share special times with friends.
Kim, Lisa, Rose, myself and Allison

I can't imagine what today will bring - hopefully more prize patrol :)  Yeah, I'm just in it for the free rubbah - ha ha. TOTALLY KIDDING!  I can't post without showing a card.   This one was one hand stamped by Shelli - OMG.  No I didn't receive it, in one of my classes a girl won the prize patrol and I asked if I could take a picture of it.  Isn't it super cute!

Hope you have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

Leadership update

Morning, (well I started this in the morning but now it is the evening sorry that I didn't get to finish this post)
After being up for 48 hours, a 2 1/2 hour nap on the flights I finally had a great sleep last night after a fabulous time at Manager's Reception.
Ready to board the buses to Manager's Reception

Allison (my downline), me and Kim (my up, up, upline)
We gathered to board buses to sight unknown and ended up here.

What a fun night of line dancing, food, and many laughs.
Our supper mate, Heather, singing up a storm.  She was hilarious!

Everyone got cowboy hats adorned with Antique brads and Chocolate Chip grosgrain!!

Yummy chocolate cake! I forgot to take a photo of the dinner because I ate it too fast.

Brother Trouble on stage!

Line dancing was a blast!  Allison and I were dancing up a storm. Only a few toes stepped on.

Shelli Gardner and me - eeek!  Way exciting!

After we came back to the hotel we received an awesome treat!  I have to keep it under wraps though - sorry!

I'm heading to bed and hopefully can have some time to post a few more pics from Leadership.

Cheers,
K

Leaving for Nashville?

It's been such a whirlwind 48 hours I think my head might just spin off. It all started with a phone call. . .

I was set to leave for my first Leadership, my first Manager's Reception (Wed evening) on Wed morning at 7:45 am.  Packing was almost done, swaps done and just a few things to throw together and I was outta here.

I received a phone call from United had "rebooked" my flight to leave on Thursday due to snow in Chicago - WHAT????

After a frenzy of phone calls to fellow travellers, airlines and looking for other options we realized there weren't many.  I finally found Vincent - my hero (heart).  After being on hold for 2 hours with Air Canada I was able to change our booking to a different airline on Wed night at 12:10.  Yep, we were taking the red eye.  I'm sad I didn't take photos of myself with phones in both of my ears, lap top open, cooking dinner and royally screwing up baking some cornmeal muffins all in those two hours because it was pretty comical.  Well, it is comical now because I AM IN NASHVILLE!

After a few delays in Calgary (our crew was late to fly the plane), in Toronto (snow storm and only one run way open) we landed in Nashville at 10:30 am. Much better than the alternate of Thursday evening!  Look out Nashville here we come!
