Happy long weekend to all!
I hope you are enjoying the long weekend and enjoying nice weather (if you aren't in Calgary that is).
This week I'm starting to cut the ribbons for the ribbon share. If you haven't already signed up contact me ASAP to save your spot. Joining a ribbon share is a fantastic way to get a collection of ribbons for a great price (it's less than buying 3 rolls of ribbon in the same ribbon family). Payment by cash or cheque only.
In all shares (except the 1/2" ribbon and crochet trim) there are 13 Getting Started Colours and Vanilla. The Getting Started Colours include:
Whisper White Daffodil Delight Certainly Celery
Pumpkin Pie Real Red Pretty in Pink
Rich Razzleberry Night of Navy Marina Mist
Old Olive Early Espresso Basic Black
Each share will be cut and sorted on the same colour cardstock spools like this.
My ribbon shelves look like this so I'd love to share some with you.
Share groups include: (2010-2011 Catalogue pg 190-191)
1/4" Grosgrain - 3 yards of 13 colours=$21
5/8" Grosgrain - 3 yards of 13 colours = $29

Back to school
Yesterday was the first day of school for my crew and the rest of Calgary. The kids were very excited and so was I :)
Pete and I split the duties and drove the kids off in different directions to their respective schools. The kids were super excited to see friends and meet their teachers. We were nervous to see which class they were in and with whom. All is GREAT! Better than great! I can't wait for a fantastic year from both of them.
On the stamping front (hold on to your seat) I TOOK A DAY OFF! Notice I said day and not night so I'm off to stamp but here are some pics of the monkeys on day 1 of school.
Cheers,
K

Love those pearls and rhinestones!

I love the sticky backed pearls and rhinestones that Stampin Up has added to their embellishments. They add that little bit of pizzazz to a card without going overboard.
This is another card we made at Charlene's workshop. My October calendar is beginning to fill up so contact me today if you'd like to earn some free stamps for Christmas:) Now who wouldn't want to earn free stamps.
Stamps - Just Believe
Inks - Perfect Plum and Pear Pizzazz
Paper - Whisper White, Blushing Bride, Perfect Plum and Pear Pizzazz

What a fun night!
Whew! Last night was a fabulous workshop at a new stamper's house. I had such a fun time teaching so many ladies how to stamp. I look forward to getting together with you again soon.
Here are the projects at Charlene's workshop. I LOVE the set Big on Christmas since it has 3 great images so you can create a variety of cards from just one set. The polka dot background and the little bit of bling with glitter and the rhinestone brads add a bit of sparkle. Christmas isn't Christmas without a bit of sparkle.
Cheers,
K

Can you believe it? No pictures!
Last night I had an amazing class with 8 fantastic ladies! They made the Oval All box and card set. I had the best intentions of taking photos of everyone gluing, scoring and stamping away and I FORGOT! The camera was there, I was prepped and ready and I FORGOT! I'm so sad. Can everyone come back and we can do it again?

Guess you'll have to imagine all the fun we had. This box is makes a great gift for teachers, aunts and friends. I'm curious how many of the boxes we made last night end up as a gift???
Stamps - Oval All, Friends Never Fade
Inks - Baja Breeze, Pumpkin Pie, Pear Pizzazz, Chocolate Chip, Daffodil Delight
Paper - Greenhouse Gala Designer series paper, Baja Breeze, Pear Pizazz, Whisper
White
Accessories - Large Oval, Scallop Oval, White Satin ribbon, Rhinestone brad, 1/2" circle punch, Sticky Strip and GLUE - lots of it

K
