Friday Cupcake fun!

Huh, Friday already!

Despite me thinking that it was Friday since Wednesday! I still forgot to type this post.  Eeek, will you forgive me?

 One of my FAVOURITE sets and MUSt have set is the Sweet Cupcake stamp set and framelits.  I can't believe how good this cupcake looks in EVERY colour! Such realistic frosting - YUM!

 

I used the Sunburst framelits to highlight this amazing cupcake! Ta da!

And this one is in Sweet Sugar Plum.  Pretty sweet eh! Gotta love the new IN COLOR Rushed ribbon.

Ribbon Share info

The one embellishment I could not live without is RIBBON!!  It adds a bit of texture to a card, a WOW to a scrapbook page or pizazz to a home decor element.

Stampin UP has such a great offering of excellent quality ribbons and with a ribbon share you can get a smaller amount  of many different colours for a great price.  Joining a share is less than buying 3 rolls of ribbon in the same family.   Five persons are needed per group and orders will be placed when the groups have been filled. Payment is by cash or cheque.  See the SU website for a full listing of colours in each share.

New Pleated Ribbon share

Here are the details of my new Pleated ribbon share.

For just $28 you receive 2.5 yards of each Riding Hood Red, Blushing Bride, Baja Breeze and Pear Pizzazz pleated satin ribbon PLUS 24 matching Designer Twiterpated buttons. These buttons are so cute and you get 2 different designs in two colours, Baja Breeze and Blushing Bride (6 of each design).

Ribbon shares!

Ribbon shares are back!

New Catalogue time means a TON of new ribbons to purchase.  I'm a bit of a ribbon hog but I don't mind sharing with all of you.

Ribbon shares are a fantastic way to get a great selection of ribbons for less than the cost of 3 full sized rolls and you get a TON of colours. 

 I wrap all my ribbons on "spools" so you can see the co-ordinating cardstock colours with each ribbon share.

Here is a cute stamp set that doesn't see enough ink in this house. I used the 5/8" grosgrain to divide the pattern paper and cardstock and I added a ribbon "flag" too.

Happy Monday!

I had a busy weekend of kids camps and classes so I'm sitting here Monday getting ready to plan my to do list for the week :) Wish me luck.


I sent a recent note in my newsletter about a new ribbon share I'm starting for 2011.  I had a few inquiries about what type of ribbon I use the most, prices, lengths and what ribbons am I offering. So here is a post to hopefully answer those questions.

What is a ribbon share?

  Are you interested in sampling some of Stampin Up ribbons but a whole roll is too much? Join a ribbon share!  I purchase all the ribbons in a particular ribbon style and cut them up into 2 or 3yrd increments. Joining a share is less than buying 3 rolls of ribbon in the same family. Payment by cash or cheque only.

What colours do the ribbons come in?

  If you have an Idea book and Catalogue check out page 190-191.  If you don't here is the list - -Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Real Red, Night of Navy, Early Espresso, Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink, Marina Mist, and Basic Black.

Which ribbons do I use the most?

  The 1/4" grosgrain is my go to ribbon for most of my cards but I do use ALL OF THEM.  The 5/8" satin is soo very pretty in all the colours and dresses up any card.  The new Seam Binding ribbon now comes in 7 GORGEOUS colours.  This is definitely my newest fave!

Scrapbooking club

I have been a busy beaver creating the last few day but today was another day off. Why you ask?

Because I received not 1, not 2 but 3 shipments of Stampin Up goodness. Let's just say it was one happy morning. 

Okay it wasn't all for me, I do actually sell the stuff and not just buy it but one would never know if you looked around my craft room :)

I will share with you my scrapbook page for my new Scrapbooking group beginning next week.  I can't wait to start scrapbooking more often and what better reason to do it than to be creating pages for my class - it's work!  Unfortunately when I found Stampin Up my actual page production has gone downhill, but I'm looking to turn that trend around.  

I love the look of the Satin flowers.  Yes, it was made with Stampin Up's satin ribbon. It's a fun technique and super easy.  You can join my Satin ribbon share and receive 3 yards of ribbon in 13 different colours!  Flowers galore!

Ribbon share

Happy long weekend to all!

I hope you are enjoying the long weekend and enjoying nice weather (if you aren't in Calgary that is).

This week I'm starting to cut the ribbons for the ribbon share. If you haven't already signed up contact me ASAP to save your spot.  Joining a ribbon share is a fantastic way to get a collection of ribbons for a great price (it's less than buying 3 rolls of ribbon in the same ribbon family).  Payment by cash or cheque only.

In all shares (except the 1/2" ribbon and crochet trim) there are 13 Getting Started Colours and Vanilla.  The Getting Started Colours include:

  Pumpkin Pie               Real Red                   Pretty in Pink
