Kids Camp and Owls
I think I've been bitten by the Owl bug again because I can't stop thinking about cards that I can create with the Owl builder punch. This month I decided to have a card maker's workshop at Kids camp this month and we made Owl cards. These were selection of the cutest cards from past Owl classes.
Then we made some spinner/slider cards.
Since these cards weren't for the faint of heart I did have one last one for them to try and that was a slider card that got them ooo'ing and ahh'ing. BUT this one was a challenge a they had to design an Easter card for me for my blog.
Here were the results. And quite fantastic since I only gave them 15 min to create. Each pic shows the front and then what happens when you pull the top piece up, the bottom part slides down.
Enjoy this week of sun! I'm in spring mode are you?
Cheers,
K

Everything Owls and More class
This is one class I'm super excited to be offering - Everything Owls and More!!
Over a year ago I offered an Owl class and it was SUPER popular! Well, now I have Everything Owls and More! In this class, you will create 10 different cards all using the Owl Builder punch. This punch is very fun and more versatile than you realize. Don't wait and register for this class ASAP!
Date - Fri, Aug 24th - 6-9 or Sat, Aug 25th - 1-4
Cost - $35 ** you must have the Owl punch
** Add the Owl punch $20, add the Petite Pairs stamp set (w) $30 or (c) $20
Homework - Instructions/scrap bag for Owl prep work will be available August 1st.
Hope you can join me for an evening or afternoon of card making fun! Just a warning - I've heard from many that once they took the first Owl class they couldn't give the cards away. Just sayin'.
On another note I received a TON of stamp sets from the new catalogue this week. I was soo excited that I considered (for a brief moment) rolling around on the ground with them, then my smarts kicked in. Instead of doing that I took them to the kids hockey practice and started mounting them. I hope to have a few seconds/hours this weekend to play with my new rubber so fingers crossed I'll have some new ideas to share next week AND a newsletter sent to your inboxes.
Have a great weekend!
Cheers,
K

Owl Together Class - It's back!
Morning!
Happy Monday! I'm pooped after a full weekend of fun stamping with my Snow Much Fun class and Kids Camp girls! They did a fantastic job on their Christmas gifts and making the Holiday Bingo game.
On top of all that I created a ton of things for my upcoming craft fair! Nugget tins, kids card kits and more coffee cup gift card holders!! As excited as I am to be in this craft fair I'm learning that they are A LOT of work. If it will just get here already then I can stop coming up with new things to make!
On to my creative post for today! I have several new customers that saw my Owl Together class last year and begged for me to run it again so here goes.
Register between Nov 1-30. You will receive your Owl punch in early Nov and homework to make the owls before the class date.
Dates - Fri Jan 6 6-9 - 2 spots left
Sat Jan 7 1-4 - lots of space :)
Cost - $40 includes the Owl punch

Very Versatile Owl punch
This weekend is my highly anticipated Owl Together class. It's highly anticipated because it's my first stamping class after having more than 2 weeks off for Christmas. I hope I remember how.
If you missed getting the chance to sign up for this class or the January date didn't work I will be holding this class again on March 4th.
When the catalogue first came out I completely resisted purchasing the Owl punch, I went to Convention in July I quickly changed my mind. One of my roommates created her swap cards with the Owl punch and I was sold. I have found many samples of different creatures you can create with the Owl punch and here is a compilation of those ideas.
Don't miss out on getting this great punch. Sign up for my class on March 4th and this punch is included in the cost of the class.
Thanks for stopping by.
Cheers,
K

Class preparation!
Ack! A tornado has hit my stamping desk! A big one!!
Today was class prep day for my Owl Together class in January. I have two spots left on Friday, January 7th so please let me know if you are interested in joining the class.
This class requires a bit of homework before the big day. I am ordering the punches tomorrow and will have them in time for the holidays. I will provide you with full instructions and a baggie of scraps for you to create the owls before the class date. When you come to the class we will stamp the cards, embellish and all you have to do is glue your pre-made owl on. I can't wait. See this post for the full details on the class.
Thanks for stopping by.
Cheers,
K
** Apparently this post didn't make the cut and I forgot to hit submit yesterday so it will be today's post. Sorry :(

I'm so excited!
Not only was Tuesday fantastic because of the book-a-thon my business cards arrived.
I designed these with My Digital Studio and it was easy. Okay, not completely easy as that Owl punch is much more difficult to put together digitally than it is with actual paper, but I LOVE the way it turned out.
I have the Holiday Mini, my business card and those Owl bookmarks all ready for the Copperfield Small Home Based Business and Craft Fair on November 6th. Come and find me at the Community Center!
I found this card or something similar on many blogs so I tried to re-create it as best I could. Sorry I can't find the website again to add a link so if this is your card idea please email me so I can give credit where credit is due. This is a sneak peek at an upcoming class in the new year. I know it's a really EARLY sneak peek but I just couldn't resist. I haven't worked out any details of the class other than it will be completely awesome and full of OWLS! The samples are made, but I just have to find a couple of free nights in the new year where we can make 10 cards that all have the fabulous Owl punch.
Cheers,
K

Whoo's crazy now!
This is for Erin and Julia! THANK YOU soo very much for helping me this weekend. I knew I could count on your guys to punch and glue 33 owls for these bookmarks/business card holders!
I think this may have to be part of next month's kids club projects because ALL the kids LOVED them and wanted to make them.
Thanks again Erin and Julia and hope your fingers aren't stuck together still!
Cheers,
K

I think I've gone crazy
Last month I registered to participate in the Copperfield Small Home Based Business and Craft Fair at the beginning of November. Since then I've been tossing around ideas on what I can share, show and sell at my table.
I saw this idea on Heather Summer's blog and thought this would be PERFECT way to hand out my business cards. It doubles as a bookmark! Great idea as they are sooo cute but making all those owls???!?!?!!? Luckily I have some helpers arriving tomorrow and guess what they'll be doing.
I have a small head start on them but can you see the stack in the back? Hopefully their fingers wont be stuck permanently together!
Cheers,
K
