Getting back on the "stamping" horse . . . (long post)

Eesh, it's embarassing to say it's been over 6 weeks since my last blog post and probably equal to that since I've stamped anything fun, for me or for a class!

Why?

Some of you may know (and some of you may not know) but my husband has been out of work for about 4 months and it has taken a toll on me both personally and professionally.

Stamping was one of the furthest things from my mind but it shouldn't have been. I use stamping as therapy.  It's something I love to do, get inky, get creative and quite frankly get lost in a different world of ribbons, paper, and FUN STUFF. Instead, I cocooned, felt sorry for myself, got caught up in what I didn't have instead of remembering what I do have.

I have a hard working husband who each and every day searched and searched for a job (although they were few and far between). He stayed positive even though there were times I knew he didn't want to be.

Two amazing kids that have "gotten it" when it came to things we could and couldn't do. Something I thought I was teaching them before but now when it hit closer to home they helped out more than ever!

My family and friends, near and far who knew when it was time to text, call or just leave me alone :)  You know who you are and I am grateful.

An amazing customer base and numerous friendships so many to count! You  have been so good to me over the years and I am thankful for all you have done to support me in my business ventures. I will ALWAYS be your Stampin UP demonstrator no matter where the next turn lies and I look forward to stamping with you again VERY soon!

I have returned from the annual Stampin UP Convention full of swaps, great ideas and my bucket full from good times with friends new and old.  It was the "kick in my butt" I needed to get back on the stamping horse and back to work! I am so thankful for the wonderful relationships I have made being a demonstrator. I have this CRAZY (and I mean that truly and lovingly) group of demonstrator friends that pulled me out of my funk and inspire me to no end.

I'm excited to share with you the many ideas I learned while away but more than that just to share some time with friends doing what we love - paper crafting.

Cheers,

PS Oops and I forgot to mention that last week Pete accepted a job offer. YAY!!
