Petite Cafe gift bag treats!

It's strangely craft fair time at my house which is completely odd since it's the SPRING!

BUT I'm excited to be participating in the Mother's Day Sale at the South Fish Creek Recreation Center on April 25th from 10-4pm.

I've been busy making a few of these treat bags filled with the yummiest chocolates in the world!

This is one of my "never part with stamp sets" Eat Chocolate.
These ones would be great for a teacher.

I'm also going to be selling are these cute little treat boxes. Any ideas on what to fill them with? Or do you think they would be better sold empty? Suggestions please.

I have loads of plans to stamp Mother's Day and Father's Day cards too!  Wish me luck!

K

Scrapbooker's page - Project Life meets 12x12

My scrapbook ladies are amazing and I challenged them this month to bring their photos to club. Well, in actual fact I tempted them with free product but IT WORKED! We created a half Project Life and half 12x12 page and it was a hit!  They saw how easy it was to create a page using the PL cards and embellishments plus by adding a few stamps and inks (we already own) it makes for a pretty WOW scrapbook page in no time at all.

I didn't take photos of all their layouts as they did have photos on them but trust me they were amazing!  I used the Let's Get Away project Life cards for this page but all the cards are all amazing and can fit almost any occasion or event.

These photos were from a Stampin UP Getaway in 2013.  Just an amazing trip!

K

Cardmaker's projects

Ooo, the list is long for this week but on the top is to get back to blogging with regularity!  Last week was filled with the sniffles, clubs, unexpected stresses but I'm looking forward to a week of stamping!

We had a great time at Cardmaker's with some fun quick and easy projects - well, I intended them to be quick and easy :)  Each of the cards use the new photopolymer set Lovely Amazing You.

And then our big project was the cute Berry Basket but with 3x3 note cards.  The Cheerful Critters sets is HOLY MOLY adorable!

I used the ink pads and blender pens to colour each of the cards.  So easy!

Thanks for checking in!

Kids Camp and Owls

I think I've been bitten by the Owl bug again because I can't stop thinking about cards that I can create with the Owl builder punch.  This month I decided to have a card maker's workshop at Kids camp this month and we made Owl cards. These were selection of the cutest cards from past Owl classes.

Then we made some spinner/slider cards.

Since these cards weren't for the faint of heart I did have one last one for them to try and that was a slider card that got them ooo'ing and ahh'ing. BUT this one was a challenge a they had to design an Easter card for me for my blog.

Here were the results.  And quite fantastic since I only gave them 15 min to create. Each pic shows the front and then what happens when you pull the top piece up, the bottom part slides down.

Where's the WOW?

Were you wondering?  What is the WOW project for March?

Unfortunately with Parent/Teacher interviews and spring break the last week of March there isn't a date to hold a WOW class this month.  Awww, says the stamping world :)

Don't worry as I will work on a super fantastic April WOW that you won't want to miss! I am also working on a fantastic class for April as well but you'll have to wait some more for that reveal!

Here is one more project using the Mini Treat Bag framelits.  I love how demos use our Stampin UP products in so many different ways.  This idea was from Linda Parker and uses the Kraft cardstock.  It is awesome and so sturdy!!

Here are the instructions and a template to create your own.

1) Die cut 2 mini treat bags from Kraft card stock.
2) Measure 2 peaks from the edge and score.
3) Count 5 more peaks (7 in total) and score 1/2 way.
4) Cut off the raised edges of the bag.
5) Repeat on both die cut pieces.
6) Cut a box base at 1-5/8 x 4-5/8 and score 1/2" at each end.
7) Assemble with sticky strip or Fast Fuse.

Thanks for checking in!

Cheers,
K
