RE-ENTRY SUCKS!

Sorry for the harsh title but it's the truth.  Whether you are returning from a weekend away scrapbooking or a week long vacation re-entry isn't pleasant.

Yes, it was nice to come home to warm hugs from the kids (ha, ha, yeah right; instead there were a few tears and arguments as soon as we walked in the door.)  It was nice to see our house still standing (thanks Steph and Mom), dinner ready and weird as it sounds it was nice to start the over mounting laundry!  Today it will be more of the same.

I am going to catch up on my orders from my SALE while I SAIL so look for an email from me later today.  **  I just realized that I can't send emails so it may be a bit of a delay in responding to all of you.  Not sure what's up but I'll be working on this today.

Here are a few pictures as promised. I'll try to balance the scenery pics, cruising pics and card displays over the next few days.

The display boards at the Trading Post were updated as demos brought their samples to share. They were absolutely incredible and I hope you find some inspiration in these samples.  These use the The Open Sea set and Sail Away stamp from the Summer Mini.

I have to share one big exciting thing that greeted us first thing when we found our room.   Isn't it the coolest thing?  I loved walking down the hallways on the ship and seeing these on the doors of the cabins. It was a nice to see how many of us were on board.

Thanks for stopping by.  Don't forget to stop by tomorrow as I will have the June WOW project posted.

K

Almost home

Hi everyone

Yes, I am still alive but barely now with with this wicked cold I have caught while in Seattle.

I can't really complain at all since we have enjoyed a wonderful week + a bit on vacation. We couldn't have asked for better weather, the sights and so much more.  This trip has been amazing and we're sad to see it come to an end.

Here are a few pictures from the first day on the ship.

Just before leaving Seattle on deck.

Our stateroom.  It was big enough for us and our home away from home.

Had to visit the Trading post each day to get prizes!!!

Wheel O' Fun.  The first day I spun I got the Bevelled Window frames!!!

My Cruise jacket - super comfy!

At the Ice Breaker they welcomed up with the ALASKA Stampin UP carved out of ice.

And a Chocolate Fountain.

And marshmallows and brownies . . . BEFORE DINNER
I'll be posting new pics each day but you may have to be patient as I have to weed through the piles of laundry!!!

Hi from Juneau

Just a quick post as my best laid plans aren't working.  The internet on board the ship is EXTREMELY SLOW so uploading pics, typing blog posts takes forever and costs $100's so I'm not going to post my pics of my trip until I return home.

Just know that everything has been FANTASTIC!  The scenery, the food and meeting so many new demonstrators.

I LOVE STAMPIN UP!!

K

FAB Florets!

Here is one stamp set from the Summer Mini that I'm pining for.

The reason I'm pining for it is because I don't have it and I want it.  I was lucky enough to borrow it from Allison and inked it up all weekend. It makes a great  quick and easy card.

I'm all ready for spring and so is my garden :)

Have a fantastic long weekend!

K

How lucky am I!

I received this card from Allison in my downline, isn't it cute!

Want to join me in working towards the next trip?  Sign up to be a demonstrator now for just $150.50 and we can do it!  Contact me for more details or check this out.

Great blog find!

Here is the second project for my club tonight.  I found these on Becky Roberts blog and had to try it out for myself.

The mini square envelopes are soo cute.  I paired two of these with some scraps and Beyond the Garden Designer Series paper and voila!  Go check out Becky's blog for complete instructions.

Can't you imagine these as cute invitations or a cute card for a friend.

Productive Day!

Today I planned a TON of non stamping stuff to do - bathrooms, vacuuming, ironing, groceries etc but I'm happy to say I got it all done (or most of it) and I'm rewarding myself with some stamping time.

This past weekend I went on a mini scrapbook retreat with friends and had a blast. I completed some pages, made some cards but most of all relaxed which is something I don't usually do when I go away.

Here in one of my projects for this month's club project.  Another fun card with the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer punch.  This punch is a must have.  Contact me if you are interested in purchasing this punch.

The fancy insides :)

Thanks for stopping by.

Another Mother's Day Kids Camp project

Here is another Mother's Day project from my Step 1 and Step 2 Kids Camp groups.

The base for the project are 3 larger envelopes glued together to form the card holder.
I kept it simple using just three colours - Soft Suede, Pretty in Pink and Old Olive.

Open it up and voila!

Inside each pocket is a handmade card.
Tomorrow I'll post some close ups of the cards. Thanks for stopping by.

Stationery Box part 2

Here are the rest of the cards from our Mother's Day Stationery Box.

Love the two step stamps and it works great with the Designer Series paper.

Inlaid embossing technique - sorry I love this so you're going to be seeing it a lot.

Clean and simple - refreshing!
 Thanks for stopping by.

Stationery Box

Now that Mother's day is over I can finally share my Kids Camp projects. I was sooo excited to do this BIG project with the Paper Crafter's workshop group but I knew it would take two classes.

First we made the box. Directions can be found here (warning - this project is not for the faint of heart)

Then we made the "stuff"

What is the stuff?   Mini book, stamp envelope, 4 tags, 4 note cards and 4 standard size cards and a matching pen.  They were able to design their own cards and boy, was it fun.  I'll show a few of the cards I designed and then the rest tomorrow. Unfortunately I didn't take any photos of their cards but they were fantastic!

The colours used in this project were Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz, Peach Parfait and Poppy Parade.  The pattern paper used was Sunny Garden and the Cottage Garden stamp set.

Check back tomorrow to see the rest of the cards.

K

One more Digital page

Happy belated Birthday to my best friend's little boy.  Luke celebrated his first birthday and my friend sent me these fantastic pictures of his celebration.  I really miss that I don't live closer to them.

All the elements on this page are from the original My Digital Studio program.

Don't forget to see the latest in digital downloads here each Tuesday. My Digital Studio is super easy to use.  Ask me how.

My Digital Studio program

Happy Monday!

I have been lax in my promotion of Stampin Up's fantastic digital scrapbooking program, My Digital Studio.  I thought I'd start today with a digital page.

While I love traditional scrapbooking I can definitely see the potential with this great program - mini albums (for trips, events), multiple albums, calendars, hybrid cards and pages. It is EASY to use, versatile and a super professional looking printed product.

The base program is only $106.95 and contains over $600 worth of digital designs.  You can create 100's of pages with this program and purchase additional stamp sets or designer series papers as you like.

Each Tuesday Stampin UP announces new digital downloads and the papers shown on this page are a newer download called Sweet Details paper and stamp set.

During the month of May the Digital Starter kit is a uber fantastic deal.  For just $150.50 (reg $215) you receive the My Digital Studio program and tons of other Stampin UP products at a great price.   The value of the kit is $385.  Contact me and I can show you the MDS software one on one.

Be sure you check out the My Digital Studio.net for some great scrapbooking ideas that can be used both traditionally or digitally.

Cheers,
K

Happy Mother's Day (tomorrow)

Wishing you a happy Mother's Day tomorrow.  I thought I'd post this one day early so I could have the day off too :)  Here is a card I found from one of my many swap cards from last year's Convention. I'm sorry I can't give credit to the creator, but I absolutely love the colors, layering and all the small details. Isn't it beautiful!!!!

Have a happy day!

Inlaid Embossing with the Triple Layer punch

Now this is definitely not a new idea since I have seen it on numerous blogs and samples but it is sooo awesome I just had to re-create it.

A decorated inside.

I embossed the Tempting Turquoise strip and flower with the Square Lattice folder and then added the brad.

Look for a card similar to this one on a future card buffet.

Five minute card

This super simple card can be created in under 5 minutes.  The designer series paper does all the work. Just add a ribbon ruffle, sentiment and voila!

Isn't it fabulous!  I love the bright colours and this would be perfect for gardening pages, summer fun and more.  I can just imagine the amazing cards this paper will create as well!

K
