Watercolour Wings again - Colour Combos

Crazy week ahead so I'm going to try and get some creating done today - wish me luck! And maybe just maybe I'll try and different stamp set today - ha ha!

I promised I would share some of the colour combos I created one fun crafty morning so here they are.

I saw this brilliant idea on Patty Bennett's blog and I knew I had to try out my own colour combos. Which one is your favourite one?

Check out this close up of one of the cards from my Coffee, Cookies and Cards class next week!

Watercolour Wings - more samples!

Sorry for the later post but I was enjoying this gorgeous morning with a nice long walk :)

I had such a great club this week but so sad I forgot to take photos of everyone's cards from Wednesday's club :( So here are the cards from Tuesday. They weren't created by me but inspired by my sample.

I was so excited that everyone enjoyed creating their own butterflies and colour combos.  This stamp set is AMAZING! I'll share with you some colour combo sheets I created one morning too.  It has also inspired my swap card for Convention this year too!

Dry Embossing on Vellum

This new technique works wonders with the new stamp set "You've Got This".

I saw technique from a fellow demonstrator and it was lovely and so simple.

You can't see the "puffiness" of the card in the photo but trust me it's there.

Here's how you do it!

Dry Embossing on Vellum
Stamp on card stock vellum with Staz On. Allow time to dry. On the back of the Vellum (non stamped side) lay on top of a Stampin Pierce mat and use a stylus to outline the image inside the stamped line.  Fill in the image using the large end of the stylus.  This will turn the vellum a cloudy white and when turned over will “puff out” or emboss the image. Attach to card stock with brads or other “invisible adhesives”.

Did you notice the new embossing folder in the background? Hope so! It's the new Flutttering embossing folder.

Hope you are cooler today!  The sun was great but what a scorcher!

K

What an absolutely fabulous weekend!!  Could not have asked for better weather and such a great sports weekend too :)

I do have a new card to share but it's a CASE from an older card I made but with new papers!

This card uses the Cherry on Top Designer Series paper which I love! and the Star Framelits and Pictogram punches stamp set.

I can't get enough of the Cucumber Crush colour.  It's a great summer colour!

Hope you have a great day and today is the last day to sign up for my Sprinkles of Life class!  It's going to be a fun one so don't miss out!

More ideas for the Sprinkles of Life and Crazy About You stamp set and Hello You thinlits.  Do you love the little candy paper in the background? Me too! It's the new Cherry on Top Designer Series paper stack.  This adorable paper comes in 48 sheets of 6x6 and it's just $10.

Have a fabulous weekend and here's back to regular blogging!

Don't forget about the deadline to sign up for the Sprinkles of Life class!

Delightful Dijon + Sprinkles of Life

While I'm not a great fan of mustard of any kind to eat - bleh! I actually quite like this colour combo with Delightul Diijon.

Delightful Diijon, Cherry Cobbler, Island Indigo
I combined this with the Sprinkles of Life set and Crazy About You stamp sets.  I made a little flower box out of Early Espresso card stock and embossed with the Woodgrain embossing folder.

Are you in love with the new In Colours yet?  If you love the Sprinkles of Life stamp set check out this class I'm having on June 18th.  Times at 9:30 and 6:30 and by registering $8 of your class fee will be donated to RMHC.

Cost of the class is $55 and includes the stamp set Sprikles of Life and the co-ordinating punch Tree Builder.

Check back for one more card tomorrow in Watermelon Wonder.  I think it's my fave!

K

Cucumber Crush - more food names!

Here's a nice bright card to cheer up a dull day.

I used the new triple banner punch on the banner in Watermelon Wonder and stamped the "seeds" with Memento Black ink. Plus the Hello You Thinlits and Crazy About You stamp set for the message.

Nathan helped me stamp this card and inspired the punch art inside with the Large and Extra Large oval punches.

Hope you have a fantastic day and check back in tomorrow for Delightful Diijon.

K

Mint Macaron - so yummy!

This is going to be one of those MUST have colours!  Now first things first.  I have been "schooled" (thanks, Allison) that this is colour is spelled correctly. It refers the the French sandwich type cookies made with egg whites, sugar, and a filling between two cookies. And now I'm hungry :)

And now on to the card.

I love this new stamp set called You've Got This. I paired this card with the Hello You thinlits for a lovely simple card.  The "hash mark" background can be useful for soo many things! It's hard to tell in the photo but I "embossed" the card stock vellum with a stylus so the flower actually is 3D.

Hope you like today's card.  If you'd like a catalogue let me know! Tomorrow I have a Nathan inspired Cucumber Crush card.

Cheers,
K
