Yippee!!  What a great night!!  Why you ask??  Because my team won!!  Vancouver beat Detroit!  Yippee!! It was a big deal because Detroit had won 23 straight games at home.  Sorry I just had to throw some hockey in here :)

I want to share a breath of fresh spring air on a snowy day and weekend coming up.  I saw this card on Splitcoast and fell in love.  I love the simplicity of this card.
 Thank you Cristena.

Card Buffet closeups part 2

More close ups!

A little spring for this wonderful weather we have been having.  This could be an Easter card too!

Inside is a Father's Day message

This one isn't in the original photo but it's going to be in the buffet.  It makes a nice card for your dad, brother or uncle.
I hope this has inspired you to create today!

Card Buffet closeups

Thanks to all of you that signed up for classes yesterday.  I still have spaces left at the card buffet on Sunday, March 18th.

I thought I'd share with you a few close ups of some of the cards.

Little Bunny Foo Foo for Easter.  Colours - Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Whisper White and So Saffron

I had graduation in mind when I made this card but change the sentiment and it would make a great birthday card.
This one looks MUCH better in real life with the watercoloured roses.  Choose any colour to paint your flowers.
 Thanks for stopping by.

Card buffet overview!!

Happy Monday!

I hope you had a fantastic long weekend!!  We had a great FAMILY weekend full of hockey (Nathan even complimented me on my slap shot), out for dim sum, Dairy Queen one night, Harry Potter IV at home and Star Wars Phantom Menace 3D at the theatres!!  That'a a big deal for us and that's a LOT for us to do in just one long weekend.  I think the kids are ready to go back to school (whether they like it or not)  and I'm ready to get back to normalcy.

Normalcy for me is creating and I sure hope I find my mojo soon.  It disappeared for a bit but today I'm going to go searching for it.

Here is a picture of the cards for my upcoming Card Buffet.  The cost is $5 to register and you pay just $2.50 per card you create.

Date - Sat, March 17 or Sunday, March 18th
Time - 1-5pm

Contact me if you are free and want to create with me.

Blossom Builders Scrapbook page

Tonight is a great night for scrapbooking with my girls!

At our last meeting I warned the ladies that this month's page will be "open-ended". They could create any type of page given the materials and I think I almost sent some of them into cardiac arrest.  So I created a page sample that they could "copy" or they could go out on their own and be fantastically creative!  I hope to show you their results tomorrow.

 Here is my page.

Some close ups of the flowers and details.

The Builder Blossoms are FANTASTIC!!  See this post for other card ideas with the Builder Blossoms.

Card Buffet sneak peek! A little Angry Birds inspiration

Happy Wednesday to you!

I hope you survived the snow and the commute yesterday morning.  It was a hairy drive for me in the morning but we made it (only a little bit late).

The past few days I've been hinting to my customers that I have a card buffet coming in March.  I do have the dates and samples and will be sending them in an upcoming newsletter - so keep checking your mailboxes.  Signing up is first come, first sign up and the registration fee is $5.  Once you are here you can create as many cards as you wish at $2.50 per card.

I've been busy creating cards for a variety of occasions like Mother's Day, Father's Day, Easter, wedding, thank you, blank and birthdays.  It's been fun to create a kid card and then switch gears and create and elegant wedding card.  Change the sentiment on any card and voila you have customized the card to suit your needs.

Well, I have a sneak peek for you as this is my FAVOURITE CARD!!!  It may even be my "best" card of this buffet.  Maybe I'm a bit biased  . . . . what do you think??

The inside is pretty cute too . . .

Have a great Wednesday and check back tomorrow to see my scrapbook page for my Scrapbooker's group.

Cheers,
K

Club projects!

**If there is interest I might be swayed into creating a Tea -riffic Tuesday class to teach all my non-clubbers how to create this cute box.  Let me know if this interests you.

What a fantastic night!!  It was a little different to our regular club as we usually work in stations but this time I did a guided larger project.

After I created it, I thought - OOOPS! I should have made a Valentine card / project but after I received my Tea Shoppe set it was tunnel vision on one thing only!

I {heart} the Cracked Glass technique and it is so easy.  I'm sad we don't sell the Glassy Glaze product anymore but if you have some kicking around dig it out!!

Here's a close up.

Now for the TA DA!! project I found online.  Thank you to Heidi Baks for her generosity and online inspiration.  She has a fantastic tutorial that I used and tweaked to make the measurements work for me.

And some close ups.

Hope you feel inspired to create.

Thanks for stopping by.

Circle Circus One Sheet wonder cards

Morning!

Happy Wednesday!  Tonight is my club night - Yippee!!!

I'm going to spend today packing up my bags to take to my hostesses house and wish me luck that I don't forget anything.  I'm sure I'll be doing some creating today (wink, wink).  Keep checking back to see my new creations.

I have had lots of positive feedback on these One Sheet wonder cards I made with stamp set Circle Circus.  I hope you find these inspiring to try using bright colours and pair it with Basic Black.  The colours just POP! (Sorry the lighting is a little off).

Stamp an entire sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 with Circle Circus.  Colours used Pacific Point, Rich Razzleberry, Lucky Limeade, Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango and Melon Mambo.

Cut into quarters.

Cut each quarter according to the one sheet wonder pattern.

Pair with Basic Black card bases.

Add some scraps, punches, ribbons and the hostess set Happiest Birthday Wishes and VOILA!

Thanks for stopping by.

K

Paper bag scrapbook

Greetings from my craft space!

Yesterday was such a glorious day because I spent all day hunkered down in my craft closet.  Yes, it's that small.  Well, despite the cramped corners (as it's a little lot messy) I finished up my club projects and I {heart} them.  I'll post them after club on Wednesday.

I took photos of my paper bag album I made for a sample for kids camp this past weekend.  The girls have only put a small dent into their projects but I will ask if I can take pictures of their fantastic creations when they are done.

My book is things I love about Stampin UP!  Paper bag albums are great for small keepsake books about random stuff.  Great for tickets and small journaling notes as it's full of small pockets and places for hidden stuff.   I wanted to create a project that had NO RULES.  I plan on doing a ton more doodling and including more photos and more stamped samples.

The yellow tag on the right side is a journaling tag that pulls out.
Same page as above but the red tag pulls out and pivots on the brad.

The tab on the left includes my list of favourite stamp sets.

Who doesn't love Stampin Up's tools and embellishements??

Aren't those great reasons to love Stampin UP!  Don't you want to be a demonstrator now!!!  It's the best job ever!

Sign up during Sale A Bration for just $150 and receive a pack of Designer Series Paper or a digital download for every month in 2012.  Just ask me how to sign up!!!! It's super easy!

Cheers,
K
