My Digital Studio Disney Journals

Last week I was very excited to receive a package from Stampin UP.  I placed a My Digital Studio order for 2 journals for our upcoming trip to Disney. The boys have been super lucky to visit Disney World twice before and get tons of autographs from the characters on both trips.  I was surprised and happy that they still wanted to visit with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and more!  It gives me a great excuse to get my picture with the characters too.

In the past I have created journals with our Onboard Journals with paper, stickers and more but being time pressed and wanting something different I went digital.

I'm happy with the results!

See all the great things we have planned.

Lots of pages for autographs and journalling
You can even create a title on the spine.

Can't wait for this trip!

Time to stock up!

This is soo big it required two posts in one day!!

ALL the classic coloured inks are on the retiring list.  Why you ask?  Stampin Up is changing its colour pads to a new innovative firm foam pad.  The firm foam pads offer better ink coverage and that will result in a better stamped image.  I'm soo excited to try them out.  They are new for me too.

Other news:
1) Craft stampin pads will only be available in black and white
2) Only select Individual Stampin Write markers will be available in the new catalogue (stock up your fave colour marker if it's on the retired list)
3)  12x12 Textured Cardstock will not be offered (so sad)
4) 12x12 Smooth Cardstock will be available in only select individual colour packs (so so sad)

You REALLY need to stock on Stampin Up supplies today!

Online orders are crucial for this time of year.  Retiring Accessories are only available while supplies last.  I kind of feel like a broken record but it's true.  Once it's gone it's GONE!

Simply Adorned being discontinued and Decor Elements too!

One more sleep until the retiring list is posted. Don't forget Stampin UP is discontinuing the Decor Elements line (wall vinyl) and the Simply Adorned (jewelry line).  There will be occasional Decor Elements products in upcoming Seasonal Catalogues but my guess is they will be seasonal only.   Remember this is just my opinion!

Here are some samples of the jewelry inserts we made at last year's Leadership.
121892 Trinket Keys (4) $7.95

This is the 1 1/2 x 2 Beveled Charm (116799) $29.95 and the inserts are all handmade.  Just think at the possibilities to match them with outfits or include personal photos.

Thanks for stopping by.

What a weekend!

Did you enjoy the summer weather yesterday?  WOW wasn't it gorgeous in Calgary! You can't get any better than that!

We had a busy week with birthday celebrations and Kids Camp on Sunday so now it's back to a week of somewhat normalcy :)

In two short sleeps Stampin Up will be posting the retiring accessories list so I thought I'd share some of the great offerings that are only available for a short time.  On the 25th be sure to check my blog to view any retired accessories such as Designer Series paper, punches, and dies etc.  I don't know what will be on the list but I do have some thoughts on what might make the list.

Simply Scrappin' Kits aren't generally continued from catalogue to catalogue.  Check out these cute kits and samples from Convention 2011.

Happy Birthday Andrew!

While I don't normally post on the weekend today is a special day since today is Andrew's 12th birthday!  I can't believe he is 12 because it seems like just yesterday he was born, toddling around the house or learning how to talk.

Here are some cute pics of Andrew :)

 Happy Birthday bud!

Scrapbooking Club tonight!

Tonight I have a fun page planned for my scrapbooking group!  We are using the new Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper and bright colour scheme.  I think I've said 1000 times that I'm on a black and colour kick.  I'll find another colour scheme soon I promise.

Here is a close up of each page.

If you are interested in joining my next session of scrapbook club beginning in Sept 2012 please contact me. There are limited spaces available.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

The best customers ever!

I just have to say I have the best customers ever!  I had a class last night which happened to be on the same night as a very important hockey game.  (I'm watching the game as I type this now). Well, a few of them know my love for the Vancouver Canucks (even though they are Calgary fans) but they kidded about leaving before the game started.  They know I won't kick them out (as if) but they were so thoughtful quickly make your projects thinking that I probably wanted to watch the game.  You are the greatest, but you didn't HAVE to leave right away :)

While I'm not delusional to think my team can come back from being down 3 games in the series it doesn't waiver my support!  They CAN win this game!  Go Canucks Go!!!

One of my favourite cards I made.  CASED from Meghan Nishi, What's up Canuck stamp from one of my kids camp girls.
I took this pic when we went to Rogers arena for a game at Christmas time.  It's HUGE!  That's what I have "Heart of a Canuck"

Now for the creative side of this post.  A couple of days ago I was finishing up my club projects and had to use up the kits I had made.  Remember I'm on this black card thing, but I quite like them.

 Simple but fun!

Have a great day!

More swap cards

I have some more swap cards to share with you but I did a bad thing.  I opened the envelopes so quickly and recycled it that I don't remember who sent this to me so if this is your card please let me know.

I think the sweet yellow flowers make this card.  I still haven't bought this set yet but I do love it. Created by Myrna

This stunning card is bright and cherry but also elegant.  Cool trellis look created by Kim M.
Thanks for stopping by.  I'm off to shop for some clothes for our trip - wish me luck on finding some:)

PS Thanks Cathy for the heads up on Myrna's fantastic card.

Retiring Greenhouse Garden (sniff, sniff)

When I read the retired stamp list I was pretty happy that many of my sets were on that list.  I know that seems strange but I have had many of these sets for a while now and I LOVE new rubber!  Who doesn't!  I'm excited that lots of retiring sets means lots of new designs and fresh styles in the upcoming catalogue.

There was one set that I haven't used in a while but is still one of my faves.  It's very unsuspecting in the catalogue but when you see it with ink it's a WOW!

Colours used - Not Quite Navy, Old Olive, More Mustard, Ruby Red (retired)
A few years ago I created a class with this stamp set. Each card focused on a different technique and just 4 colours of ink.  All of this was kept in a cute card holder box.  Hmmm, this could be a future WOW class. What do you think?
