June WOW Sneak Peek

Just a quick sneak peek post as I'm trying to finish up my June Newsletter to actually go out on June 1st.  I know SHOCKING!

Four sneak peeks means four cards.  Check back on June 1st to see the whole card and sign up then!

PS I will admit I have been a bit side tracked lately - does anyone watch Downton Abbey??  Just started it yesterday and OMG is it ever good.  Not quite the same as The Walking Dead but just as addicting!!  I know, I know, less TV watching and more stamping . . . .

Howdy!

What a wet day to wake up to - blech!  Oh well, it's good for the gardens, right??

Enough complaining . . .

A few weeks ago I received some happy mail

I {heart} MY Paper Pumpkin days  . . . .

So in the hour and a bit before my open house on Sat I whipped this up.  Thanks to Gail Elton Murray who I totally CASED these ideas from.  She did such a fantastic job on her album and I was in a time crunch.  I'm going to add photos from our trip to Hilton Head or our upcoming trip to San Diego for this one - not sure??  I LOVE the heavy weight die cut stickers in this kit.  They are awesome!

Check out My Paper Pumpkin so you don't miss out on the next kit!  You must sign up before the 10th of June to receive the July kit (in June you will receive the Welcome Kit see here.

My Paper Pumpkin is great for beginning stampers/scrapbookers or those who would like a little fun paper crafting escape from life once a month!

Skteched Birthday - cute card but didn't make the cut

I have been trying to design some cards for my upcoming WOW class but it's been VERY difficult as I don't have the new products yet!!

I didn't let that stop me though . . .

Here is a quick one I created but it didn't make the WOW cut off. I was pretty impressed that I used more than 3 colours on a card but I think that's why this one kinda scares me.

Stamps - Sketched Birthday, Delightful Dozens
Paper - Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay, Rich, Whisper White, Razzleberry and Tangerine Tango Designer Series paper
Inks - Rich Razzleberry and Strawberry Slush
Punches - 2 1/2" circle, corner rounder, square punch
Big Shot - Chevron embossing folder

Back to the drawing board!

Cheers,
K

I'm back . . . but buried in stamps!

Greetings!

Sorry about my absence from the blogging world but I've been fighting this cold/something or other for a  few days now and yesterday it took hold of me.  Pete assures me my head will not explode but at midnight I did have him googling last night my symptoms.  What a sweet sweet man!

On to my simple card for today.  I haven't had a chance to make much with my new stuff yet, but I did make a quick and easy mosaic card.

Check out this ad that shows how in style mosaics are now!  And do you notice the Island Indigo colour!

I think my next card will use these colours!
Now on to my being buried!  Another reason why Pete is a sweet, sweet man.  He brought up all my boxes of stamps from the basement. Now time to start pricing these babies!!!

I'm sure there is a set in here you might be interested - mark the date - June 8 1-4pm  Copperfield Community Center.

Thanks for checking in!

WOW! What a hockey game!

And I thought being a Canucks fan was hard!  We were all cheering for all the Canadian teams once the Canucks were out but WOW, I'd say it's hard to be a Leafs fan.  Congrats on a well played series but it would have been nice if they had beat Boston :)

I worked hard on all the prep and directions for the Super Fun Mario class and it only took me . . .  hours!  It's all worth it as they are super cute cards.

Well I promised the Club Create group I would only show pics of our projects AFTER Mother's day so here they are.  This is a sample I made with an older Simply Scrappin Kit.  It's like a Flip Flop scrapbook and the kids brought photos to add to their creations.

They were very proud of their work and so was I.

And in Inky Thumbs we made Mom banners and a note card set.

Thanks for checking in!

K

Check out my Mother's day card!

Morning!

Hope you had a fabulous Mother's day yesterday and enjoyed the sunny day!

I think I received the biggest Mother's day card/present ever!  Check out what Nathan created!

It took up half of the drive way and he was soo proud.  We were went to Elbow Falls (duh) and had a weenie roast.  You know my idea of camping - enjoy the junky food, camp fire but still able to sleep in your own bed.

I hope to bring you some great new samples from the past week but it will all depend on how much I get done!  I have a TON of prep for tomorrow's Super Mario card so wish me luck!

K

Stampin UP demo / Mail carrier :)

Greetings :)

Yesterday was a crazy run around day as I spent the better part of the day at the post office or driving around delivering catalogues to my downline and their card swatch updater packs.  What fun!  I hope they enjoyed their happy mail awaiting them when they got home.

While I was driving around I couldn't believe what I heard on the radio - TARGET was having their grand opening yesterday!!!!  How could I have missed that!  If you have ever travelled with me on a SU trip you know that is my kinda place to visit.  I'm a bit worried that it may take away from the "specialness" of Target when we visit the US but oh well!!!  We most likely wont have the cool "US snacks and treats, and of course cereal" that I stock up on while there so it will still be fun to go to.  So I made head there today or tomorrow as I can't decide between yoga or Target . . . . I know completely easy decision but I'm torn.

Okay, okay on to the card.

This is one of the cards I made for my downline along with their treats.  The photo isn't the clearest but it's from the new Chalk Talk set "just a little something for a very special someone".

Stamps - Chalk Talk (new) and it comes with a matching set of framelits
Inks - Strawberry Slush (new)
Paper - Basic Black, Whisper White, Strawberry Slush (new)
Accessories - Mosaic Embossing folder (new), Stitched Grosgrain ribbon, Dotted Scallop ribbon border

Thanks for stopping by!

Cheers,
K

Pac Man card

Morning!  I'm not sure if I'll be waking up today happy or sad but it all depends if the Canucks win tonight :)  Yes I'm writing this last night.

Either way I still have a fun card to share with you.

In all my research to look for those Mario cards I found this one that's a blast from the past.

Thanks to Dani Piegrass for this great idea!  Total CASE!

I was on a bit of punch art roll this past week but this one was SUPER Easy.  The Word Window, Owl Builder punch and circle punches make this a quick card.

Now, if I could only figure out how to make a Candy Crush card . . . hmmmmm.

Have a great day and Go Canucks!

Cheers,
K
