Build a Bear tins for sale!!

This past weekend I had a fun workshop at a friend's house where several of these tins were made.  There was paper flying, magnet sheets sticking and Big Shots working overtime!

When I came home I had several tins and scraps left so I thought I'd make these up to sell. If you have a birthday party coming up or a spring break trip in your future you could definitely use one of these Dress Up tins!

Each tin comes with an assortment of clothing, shoes and accessories to adorn your bear for any occasion.  All pieces are magnetized so the outfits are interchangeable.

Cost is only $27.  There are only 6 5 available so first come first serve!

Exciting email :)

I just had to share an exciting email that arrived the other day :)

Stampin' Up! Cabin Confirmation

Congratulations! We are pleased to confirm your participation in the Stampin’ Up! Alaska Cruise.

Ack, now how cool is that!!!  It is almost here - or at least the countdown is on!!! It is still a bit until we're "leaving on a jet plane . . . " but I am getting REALLY excited about it all.  Pete and I have been looking at excursions such as a glacier tour, whale watching and a few others.  I'm also a bit nervous too.  I have been on one cruise (our honeymoon) and I do remember getting a little sea sick so if anyone has any pointers, remedies please let me know.  The remedy CAN NOT be that I stay home and you take my place, ha ha!!  Post them here or drop me an email - please - I do not want to be sick for this trip!

Here is a card that my upline, Kim made me when I first earned the cruise last June.  Unfortunately this stamp set, Boatloads of Love is retired but the paper she used, Greenhouse Gala is still available.

I am working on Stampin Up's next trip to Disney World and I'm very happy to say that I'm getting closer and closer.

Thank you to everyone that has supported my business over the years.  I can't believe that I have been a demonstrator since 2007.  Time flies when you are having a blast!!!

K

Club night tonight!

I have been dying to show you these cards but I wanted to save them for club day so finally here they are.

I will be demonstrating the faux silk technique which is so easy but very effective.  It's a little hard to see in the photos but the background piece with the branch (from the Eastern Blossoms set) has the faux silk look on it.

Here is the technique page.

Our card with the same technique and . . .

a fancy inside :)
The Fancy Flower die was a MUST purchase for me when I saw all the great swap cards from Leadership and now that I can cut all THREE flowers from the same paper and make a fantastic looking flower like the one on front of the card - woo hoo!  Just emboss the middle flower with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder. Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy!

Thanks for checking in today!

K

{sigh} Will it ever be summer??

Summer . . . I'd settle for a little bit of spring.

As I type this the snowing is coming down something fierce.  Really this shouldn't bug me since it is only MARCH 22nd!  What's a little snow, right?  But seriously will we ever see green grass or a clean car??

Enough whining . . .  on to the the card!

A 5x5 card with matching envie!
I used the Tiny Tags set to add the sentiment.
I used the blender pen to ink these flowers - just a blender pen!
Here is the card recipe:

Stamps - Sweet Summer, Tiny Tags
Inks - Rich Razzleberry, Pear Pizazz
Paper - Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry, Pear Pizazz
Accessories - Framed Tulip embossing folder (did you notice the size of the embossed square!!!), Jewelery Tag punch,  Hemp twine, Rich Razzleberry Taffeta ribbon, blender pen, and sponges.

I have found many blogs and videos online on how to make any size embossed Framed Tulip border.  Check out this video from Chris Kolly.

PS I started with a 4 x 4 1/4" piece of paper for a 4x4 finished square.

Thanks for stopping by.

One more treat bag :)

I have a friend that is a ladybug fanatic!  So this one is for you, girlfriend! :)  I wish I had little girl's so I could these could go in their birthday party goodie bags.  I don't think this would go so well with Nathan's hockey themed party.  Any other suggestions for these treat bags??

Thanks for stopping by.

I wish I had a pet bunny . . .

or at least the one on this stamp.

Just a simple card with a colour combo that I would never have chosen in a million years.  Thanks to the Colour Coach for helping me stretch outside my comfort zone.

The card base is Cajun Craze and Always Artichoke and Perfect Plum are the accent colours.  I'm lovin my new Watercolour Wonder crayons. If you look REALLY close you can see the card base is speckled. The spritzer tool with the Cajun Craze marker makes this cool effect and it's SUPER easy.

Purchase the Watercolour Wonder Crayons by the Color families - just $21.95

Subtles - 119802
Regals - 119803
Brights - 119804
Neutrals - 119805
It looks kind of scary but it's a cool stampin tool! - 16.95

New Watercolour Crayons

Morning :)

Last week in my big boxes of fun I received my new Watercolour Wonder Crayons.  I just LOVE using these with the Aqua painter and watercolour paper.  I also NEEDED this set The Nicest Things because it has the best image for colouring and the sentiment is soo sweet!
I absolutely love how you can create so many different looks for this stamp set just on the colours you choose.

I will show you the sweetest bunny ever in tomorrow's card.

Cheers,
K

Please help!

I'm sure many of you have been stunned and shocked at the unbelievable devastation that occurred in Japan only a few days ago.

My friend Allison and fellow Stampin UP demonstrator has family in Japan and began a fund raiser to help support a school or family in Japan.  She is selling some gorgeous cards to raise money for relief efforts in Japan. All of the proceeds will be donated to the relief efforts.

Please check out Allison's blog.

Thank you,
K

Go Canucks Go!

Last night we went to the Canucks vs Calgary game and had so much fun!  No voice and a fantastic game since the Canucks won 4-3!

Look at us all decked out in our blues and greens!
I had to make some cards to commemorate the event.

Nathan's birthday is coming up so I had to make some invites.  Knowing my hockey nut boys, they had to be Canucks themed.  My friend Angela had these fantastic NHL stamps and I made the card fronts to look like the team jerseys.

He is very excited to hand these out and finally turn 9 years old!  Okay, he's looking forward to the cake and presents too!

Have a great weekend!

Cheers,

Some more pics from our fun night out!

One of the great reason to go to a game - the food!

Yep, we really were up that high!

Go Nucks!

Winning yet another face off :)

Celebration for a game well played AND finishing their road trip with 5 straight wins!

One VERY tired boy since we didn't get home until after 11:30.
