Make n' Takes done!

Last week I had a demonstrator meeting and I set the goal to finish my make n'takes from Leadership before my downline arrived and I did - minutes before they arrived.  Whew!

The cards are soo cute and creative.  SU used the Blossom Builders Kit from the Occasions Mini on all of the projects and I'm glad they did.  I TOTALLY glossed over these cute embellishments the first time through the catalogue and now they are on my "to purchase" list.

Two sheets of die-cut flower embellishments and 30 half-back pink rhinestones.  125410 Blossom Builders $12.50

Don't forget to stop by tomorrow and see the February WOW project.  I think they are great to Sale-A-Brate any occasion!

One more event!

Just a quick post  - I'm pretty pooped!

I'm finishing off my third event in three nights tonight and I feel like the little engine that could.  I think I can, I think I can . . .(actually I don't have much choice as people keep showing up at my house :) Just kidding.

I'm really excited about tonight since it's my scrapbooking club meeting tonight and I haven't seen these ladies since NOVEMBER!!!   We will have loads to catch up on.

We will be scrapbooking snowy pics this month.  The inspiration for this page from the Stampin UP idea site Stampin Connection.  I love how demos from all over the globe share their creativity.

I love the snowman peeking over the top.  I added a few crystal effects icicles on the final page.

Thanks for stopping in.

Cheers,
K

PS Question for the regular stalkers . . . I generally set my posts to go online  for 10am.  Do you like to check blogs early or later??  Do you want me to set it for earlier???  Feedback please.

Mornings are sure is coming earlier and earlier on that alarm of mine.  Guess it doesn't help when I am up so late!

Last night was sooo much fun!  It was my first chance teaching a class since I have been back and I had a blast with the ladies that attended.  Thank you to everyone that came to the WOW class.  You are the best!

After going through the 100's of photos I took at Leadership I absolutely LOVE the displays Stampin UP had of the new Sale A Bration sets. I can't wait to ink these babies up this weekend.

Here are some inspirational pieces of goodness for you!

Sale A Bration samples!!!

Okay best laid plans they say . . .

My p l a n was to finish off my Make n' Take samples but I ended up getting caught up on emails, oodles of computer time and stamping Valentine samples - weird!  I'll share those with you another day :)  Think a possible class day coming soon . . .

Enough chatter! On the best news!!!

Sale A Bration is up and running and you must not delay in getting those order in!  Just kidding.  Sale A Bration (or SAB for short) runs from Jan 24 - March 31st.  With every $60 order you may choose from a selection of regular catalogue merchandise and/or exclusive SAB only stamp sets, Designer Series Paper and embellishments.   My favourite is the Everyday Enchanted paper! It's GORGEOUS!

Here are a few samples with this paper from Leadership.

Aren't you feeling inspired!  I sure am.

Free stuff from Leadership! And a few extra pics.

Well, today wasn't a typical Monday as I spent half of the day at the swimming pool with Nathan's class and the other half running around being a Mom.  Well, what do you expect when you take 5 days off.

Enough complaining as I DID have 5 days off and got no sympathy at all when I said it was cold here.  And can you believe this?  My sister is trying to get me to go skating with her this week - Yikes!  I told her to wait a few days until I get acclimatized.

On to the stamping - priorities, right!!

Here is a photo of all my free goodies I received from Stampin Up! We had NINE make n' take projects which we got most of them done but there are a few to finish up. I will take pics when I'm done (hopefully tomorrow) and share them with you.
I think 6 stamp sets, spools of ribbon, markers, inks, lots of bling, Designer Series paper, Baker's twine, buttons, and much much more.

Some samples using the new stamp sets we received :)

The "Committee" - We stamped most of our make n'takes by committee.  Each person picks a project and makes enough for the whole group.  It works great when you are pressed for time and that way you become an expert in one project!

Thanks for stopping by. Wish me luck that I get those make n'takes finished!

Cheers,
K

PS Sale a Bration starts today!  Check back the rest of this week for some Sale A Bration ideas and samples.

Home sweet home!

I'm home again and luckily the weather in Calgary turned nice just in time.  Pete and the kids picked me up at the airport and then it was home to relax and begin re-entry.

Leadership was so much fun, exciting to see old friends and make new ones.  Our love for Stampin Up is a common bind among all demonstrators and whether we were walking along the Riverwalk, in the elevator or out to dinner it seems like we ran into "friends" everywhere we went.

One picture I wanted to share with you is of our last day in San Antonio.  Kim, Allison and I spent an extra day in the city to explore the Alamo, tour the Riverwalk by boat and yes, do a little bit of shopping.  We had a fabulous lunch at Dough Pizzeria Napoletana.  This restaurant was featured in the television show Diners, Drive Ins and Dives and WOW the pizza was amazing.  If you ever find yourself in San Antonio you must check it out.

Enjoying a gorgeous sunny day in JANUARY!

We are going to start planning our annual Convention Trip to Salt Lake City in July !  If you are interested in joining our Stampin UP family contact me for more details and to answer any questions you may have.  Beginning January 24th the starter demo kit is just $150 and you too can join the Stampin UP family and join us in Salt Lake City (psst, it's warm there too).

I have many photos of all the wonderful projects and samples I have received in swaps and photos of all the gorgeous displays.  I hope to share them with you over the coming days.

Off to bed early tonight!

Cheers,
K

Leadership Day 3

Sorry that I didn't get a chance to post on Friday so here are a few snippets of our day at Leadership.

Lots of amazing samples

I love the inlaid embossing technique on this card.

Gorgeous hearts on the whole card and the border edge is to die for.

Yippee!  More free goodies.  I won prize patrol at Leadership!
Congrats to my downline - Allison for having a winning entry in the Leadership card contest.  Her card (the blue one shown) was one of the winning entries for Send me Soaring.

Free goodies are awesome!

Shelly's stamping presentations are always fantastic and funny!

I love this card!

And this one too!

Thanks for stopping by and have a nice weekend!

Leadership Day 2

It was a fun and exhausting day and night but so much fun! Just a few fun shots and captions from day 2.

This year's Leadership theme.

Shelli with her new do.

The best part about Stampin UP is the free goodies we receive (there is hidden stamp set beneath those pearl, but I can't show it to you.

Lunch!

And dessert!

The restaurant of choice for tonight!

The Canadian Contingent!  Christine G, Allison, Lisa, Rose, me and Kim

Yummy chicken tacquos but soo filling!

Hmm, I notice my pics are much to do about food and less to do about cards.  That will change on day 3 when I take more photos of the displays.

Nighty Night!

More Leadership Day 1 pics

Hello everyone

Here are just a few pictures of my first full day in San Antonio.

TA DA!!!  The BAG!  Each Stampin UP event all the participants receive a bag and WOWZA I love this one!   It is a lovely fabric bag, reversible and a matching wallet with pockets.  It's GORGEOUS!  Can you tell by all the capitals that I'm in love with it.  And I have heard through the grapevine that we will be possibly getting this fabric in a new catalogue and a matching stamp set!!! Woo hoo!

Afterwards we went to our Make n' Takes which were WOWZA!  I'll show more close up photos when I finish them.

Then it was a fantastic pizza lunch and PizzaRita's and a great walk along the Riverwalk.  San Antonio is a lovely city (from what we have seen) so far.

In the evening we attended Manager's Reception.  It was a fun evening and here are the pics to prove it!

Kim and I are getting really good at sharing meals.

Shelly on stage - she was very excited to bang the gong.

Thanks for stopping by.
