Birthday wishes for Nathan

Last Thursday was Nathan's 11th birthday so we've been busy with the celebration and everything that surrounds a big birthday! Plus my parents are still here so it's been extra busy.

He loved his new Lego set from his bro.  Finished in under an hour.

And a special brownie sundae on his actual BIRTHDAY DAY.

For his party day we had CRAVE cupcakes- Yum!

It was nice to have just one friend and dinner out, sleep over and a movie too.  I'm liking this kinda birthday party!

Here is the card I made him.  I used my new Photopolymer stamps - soo sweet!

Thanks for checking in!

Variations from my scrapbook club

Hey there

Sorry about no post this morning!  The days are flying by with company.  Lots of cooking and cleaning up.  I think we are going to have to go out to dinner soon.

I haven't had two secs in my scrapbook room but that's okay as I have some great pages from my scrapbook club to share.

I love how they have the freedom to make the layout in colours, styles and in ways that work for them!

Thanks for checking in!

Paper Pumpkin arrival :) Happy Day!!!

So the parentals are arriving tonight . . .

My mom and dad are flying in tonight and staying with us for a couple of weeks.  Now I know my house is relatively tidy (if you look past the 100's of paper crafting projects around) but it wasn't really "guest ready".  If you know what I mean.  So I spent the morning doing laundry, dusting, getting rid of about half of the cards and stuff around :) and then this arrived from Fed Ex.

Oooooo, ahhhhh.  A little banged up but,  I'm guessing Fed Ex didn't KNOW that this was to be handled with utmost care :)

Ack, the suspense is sooo suspenseful.  Ok, corny I know.

TA DA!!!  The pretty Pool Partyish tissue is so pretty!

My fun new kit to play with.  I think I'm going to spend an hour with my mom and get her crafting.  That will be fun :)  I'll try an dremember to take some pics and share them.  I'm really excited now for them to get here.

But first there is a small bit of vacuuming to do.    Okay am I the ONLY one that does this last minute clean thing before you have guests????  I can't be alone in this.

Have a great day and please excuse me if I miss a day or so of posting. You know why :)

Cheers,
K

Swap samples

Here are some more creative samples from the Calgary Regionals.

Thank you to all the creative ladies that shared their work.

I am definitely going to CASE this one!

Such a creative use of the pattern paper and punch.  No stamps!

Simply Sea stunning!

I love the coloured bubbles.  I think my downline Tova did this one.  I have to ask her again how she did that.

I love the stunning colours and the paper in this one.
 Thanks for checking in!

Woo Hoo I did it!

Yippeee!!  I survived!  Last week was an extremely busy week for me as I had 6 events in 8 days (workshop, clubs, classes, demo days etc) so my apologies to everyone that I haven't yet returned emails and phone calls.  That's what Mondays are for!

Thank you to Sharmaine who brought me these lovely flowers.  An especially bright moment to a very white and snowy Friday night.

Here are some flowery cards for you.  I used the Secret Garden set (w-129141 or c-129144) or bundle with the framelits (w-131100 or c-131099) plus the awesome Perfectly Penned set (w-122890 or c-122892).

This one uses the the stamps plus ink.  I cut the flower out by hand and popped it up with dimensionals.  Easy peasy and great for beginner stampers.

This ones uses a bit of ribbon, pattern paper, dahlia plus the decorative label punch for the sentiment.

Introducing the BIG SHOT!!  This one has dry embossing, heat embossing plus lots of diecutting (the Midnight Muse piece and all the flowers from the Secret Garden set).

More Big Shot flowers!  Plus a little fence with style!  This one is made with the Woodgrain embossing folder.

Hope you have a great start to your week!

Cheers,
K

Birthday Stamp a Stack

Two more samples to share.

Boy cards the nemesis of us all!  But I do love how this one turned out.  Good for the males young, old and teen in our lives.  Pete even said "this one is pretty cool."  Trust me that doesn't happen often.  The poor guy is surrounded by cards all the time!

And my new fave set - Papillion Potpourri.  Good for the young and old and very springy. Colours I don't usually use but they look pretty together.  This one I CASED from Stampin Connection.

Wild Wasabi, Certainly Celery, So Saffron, Bashful Blue and Pretty in Pink

 Have a great weekend!

Cheers,
K

Dress Frame class - more samples

Here are the remaining samples.

Loving that cute whale dress.

The purple and navy top reminds me of a 50's style dress. Super cute!

These dresses would be for the fashionisata!  Check out the Tangerine one!

Ooo, that blue ones is just simply gorgeous!

Love the pattern overlay skirts on these dresses!

My fave is the cardigan on the pink dress.  Plus skilled scissors cut this figure hugging dress!

I {heart} the shimmer and glittery belt and flower on that pink dress.

The colours on this one were jaw dropping!  The Razzleberry and Raspberry go well together!  Simply beautiful!

Dress frame class

What a weekend!!!  It was high fashion here at my place!

Thank you so much to everyone who attended the dress frame class on Sunday afternoon.  The weather cooperated (phew, no snow) and we had a great time.  I GROSSLY underestimated the time needed to create these but everyone was super cooperative and allowed for people to finish up, choose papers and die cut their fun dresses.  Check out these amazing finished creations.

These ones were so simply amazing!  She brought some pattern paper and card stock so we could match the colours of her room.  The finished project was beautiful!
What a great creative way to use the scallop punch for the belt.

What a cute choker necklace on the middle dress.  I really like the green dress too!

Some super creative ladies with scissors.  See the neckline on the pink dress and the added length.  Oooo la la!

A stunning colour palette!  Purples and Early Espresso.  Tres chic!

I could wear any one of these ensembles!  I love the yellow dress!

All of these dresses are so co-ordinated.  I can definitely see any of these in a store front showing how you can mix and match pieces!
What an amazing day and so much fun to create all these great pieces!  Now if they could only come out with a hockey jersey die?!?!?  I know I'd have a great class all ready to go!

More frames to share so check back in tomorrow!

Cheers,
K
