Class Sampler - No peeking

Morning!

It's Friday finally!  Getting back into a routine has been a bit difficult and easy all at the same time - ya know what I mean??

Well, my kids are looking forward to a half day of school today and I'm looking forward to a weekend of kids classes.  It's been a busy week preparing for them but I'm excited and ready to start a new round of Kids Camp 2012-2013.

I realized while getting ready for my upcoming classes I haven't shown samples of them on my blog. So here you go!

This Christmas Sampler class features the stamp set No Peeking.  There are three styles of cards that each feature a stamp in this stamp set.

 
 The cost of the class is $12.

Day 2 of re-entry and some Daring Adventure cards

Greetings!!

Well, day 2 was smoother on my front as the kids took the bus to school for the first time in a very LONG time.  I actually don't mind driving them but for some reason this year it makes sense for them to get to school on time rather than me battling traffic each and every morning.

So it went well for the first bussing day but wish me luck it continues (and they end up loving it).

So today by 7:30 I was home kidless so I ended up baking these Cranberry White Chocolate scones. I made the dough the night before.

All was done before 8:30 am!!!  So I headed to my new obsession - yoga for 9:30 and then back to do some work.  It was a fantastically productive day and I hope it continues tomorrow as well.

As promised here are a few masculine cards made with the Daring Adventure stamp set.

Excitement arrived yesterday!!

I just had to share with you some exciting UPS mail that arrived yesterday afternoon!

Okay, maybe not so exciting looking  . . .

But inside - lookee, lookee!!!

 In less that 3 weeks Pete and I leave for Hilton Head!! Woo Hoo!  I'm so excited about our little getaway!  THANK YOU Stampin Up!  and all my fabulous, wonderful customers and downline who helped me achieve this trip!!!

How was your re-entry?

Sorry for not posting yesterday but I'm sure many of you were in the same boat as me and re-entering back to the school routine!

Here is Andrew and Nathan at 7:20 yesterday morning.  

Would you believe me if told you that we left the house for Nathan's school at 7:30 and didn't get there until 8:20 - 15 min late!  Ack!! That's a mom's worst nightmare.  Nathan was as cool as a cucumber and worked on his "iPod scores."

Pete and Andrew had a much smoother ride to school despite also taking 45 min but Andrew doesn't start until 8:35 - lucky him. 

Wish me luck today is better.  Despite all that they both had great first days and can't wait until tomorrow.

At Convention, I received some fabulous general swaps as well as some great swaps from an organized Masculine swap so keep watch over the next couple of days.

I absolutely love this stamp set - French Foilage.  These two cards use the same set but with the different colour combos they exhibit two different feelings or moods.

September WOW projects

Thanks for checking in!  Even though school hasn't started it's not too late to start planning for Halloween Treats for school. 

Date - Wed, Sept 19

Here are 4 different styles of treat holders.

4) Pixie stix pocket

These would be super cute for teacher's, bus drivers or to put in your kids lunches.  Ugh, yes I said lunches.

More glimmer butterflies

I was having so much fun with colouring the glimmer paper I thought I'd try a few more.  Maybe I should try re-inker and an aqua painter to see if they turn out darker???

Here is the card recipe
Paper - Whisper White, Elegant Eggplant, Island Indigo and Raspberry Ripple
Inks - Elegant Eggplant, Island Indigo and Raspberry Ripple
Stamps - Lace and Lovely, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Other - Sponge daubers, Chevron embossing folder, Word Window and Modern Label punch

Coloured Glimmer paper - a whole new world!!

When Stampin Up came out with Silver and Red Glimmer paper I couldn't wait to see what other colours they would make. This is super sparkly in person and many people's fave - glitter without the glue and mess dazzling diamonds can create.

Silver (124005) and Red (121790) $5.95 for 2 sheets

Then in the Holiday Catalogue appeared and WOW Champagne Glimmer paper.  In person this is to die for!!

Champagne (127885) $5.95

 Then when I took the Concept Artist class at Convention they showed us the coolest tip to create Glimmer paper in any colour!

You will need silver glimmer paper, ink and a sponge dauber.  I used the new Elegant Butterfly punch for my card.

Ink the sponge dauber with Rich Razzleberry ink (shown) and pounce the dauber onto the glimmer paper.

Ta da!  Silver glimmer turned Rich Razzleberry glimmer.  This works best with the darker colour inks.

I absolutely love this and I know my club ladies will love it too!!  I can't wait to try this with them in September.
