Lift me Up - Cardmaker's club

My card buffet was hopping busy and so much fun!  If you missed out, that's sad :( But you'll have to make a plan to come to the next one in the spring.

This week is club and I'll be showcasing the Lift me Up stamp set.

This card I CASED Jenn Tinline's collage idea and created this one using the Carried Away Designer Series paper.

During Sale-A-Bration earn this paper pack FREE with every $60 order

The second card features the amazing framelits and a masking technique using sponges

I'm super excited to stamp with my ladies this week! Two more samples to share on Wednesday.

It's club week!

Well, an extended break from clubs and classes is over so it's time to get to work.

I didn't mean to take such a LOOONG break off from blogging but I lost track of those days off with the kids home. You know what it's like. A movie here, ice skating there and even some clothes shopping too.

I love this party suite of products! Such great colours and combinations I wouldn't normally put together.

I think this is my favourite saying EVER!

Plus our technique this week is another fancy fold. This one is a fun slider card!

Cardmaker's club cards

I'm not sure how these days keep flying by but they are and unfortunately time for blogging in the evening is becoming a pipe dream!

So here I'm finally posting my club projects that we did last night and Tuesday. The Number of Years set is a MUST MUST get! I love how you can personalize the cards for the receiver.

And for our technique card I decided to make this pop up slider card I found here.    Despite the "challenges" we had to cut and score the card - hee hee, I think everyone enjoyed the final project!

If you love fancy folds then stayed tuned for some sneak peeks at my February WOW class.  It's a WOW for sure!!!

K

Make some time for you!

Kids back in school - ✓

Did a little happy dance over the peace and quiet - ✓

Signed up for a stamping/scrapbooking class for yourself! - ✓

September is such a great time of year! I love getting the kids back into a routine, earlier bed times and finally have a tiny slice of time for me!

Don't fill your time up with laundry, dishes and vacuuming set aside some time that is just for you!

I have the perfect solution to get your craft on, have YOU time and get some great quality crafting products at the same time!

There are many benefits to joining a club including great projects and techniques, a fun day/evening with fellow crafters, and free products on your hostess month. The monthly commitment is $35 per month and you will create 2-3 card projects or a 12x12 double page scrapbook layout EACH MONTH!

I have spaces in my Cardmaking and Scrapbooking groups beginning in October.  I have room in both Tuesday evenings and Friday mornings (a great time to get it done while the kids are at school).

We begin in October so contact me ASAP to get more information and to get a sneak peek at my upcoming Stampin Garage sale!

Each month I teach you a new technique and provide full instructions plus 2 other fancy cards or 3D items.

Each month we create a 12x12 scrapbook page.  You bring the photos and complete a scrapbook layout each month.

 Have a great long weekend!

Sorry for the later post but I was enjoying this gorgeous morning with a nice long walk :)

I had such a great club this week but so sad I forgot to take photos of everyone's cards from Wednesday's club :( So here are the cards from Tuesday. They weren't created by me but inspired by my sample.

Dry Embossing on Vellum

This new technique works wonders with the new stamp set "You've Got This".

I saw technique from a fellow demonstrator and it was lovely and so simple.

You can't see the "puffiness" of the card in the photo but trust me it's there.

Here's how you do it!

Dry Embossing on Vellum
Stamp on card stock vellum with Staz On. Allow time to dry. On the back of the Vellum (non stamped side) lay on top of a Stampin Pierce mat and use a stylus to outline the image inside the stamped line.  Fill in the image using the large end of the stylus.  This will turn the vellum a cloudy white and when turned over will “puff out” or emboss the image. Attach to card stock with brads or other “invisible adhesives”.

Did you notice the new embossing folder in the background? Hope so! It's the new Flutttering embossing folder.

Hope you are cooler today!  The sun was great but what a scorcher!

Cheers,
K

What a weekend!

What an absolutely fabulous weekend!!  Could not have asked for better weather and such a great sports weekend too :)

I do have a new card to share but it's a CASE from an older card I made but with new papers!

This card uses the Cherry on Top Designer Series paper which I love! and the Star Framelits and Pictogram punches stamp set.

I can't get enough of the Cucumber Crush colour.  It's a great summer colour!

Hope you have a great day and today is the last day to sign up for my Sprinkles of Life class!  It's going to be a fun one so don't miss out!

Cardmaker's projects

Ooo, the list is long for this week but on the top is to get back to blogging with regularity!  Last week was filled with the sniffles, clubs, unexpected stresses but I'm looking forward to a week of stamping!

We had a great time at Cardmaker's with some fun quick and easy projects - well, I intended them to be quick and easy :)  Each of the cards use the new photopolymer set Lovely Amazing You.

140594 Lovely Amazing You $17.95

And then our big project was the cute Berry Basket but with 3x3 note cards.  The Cheerful Critters sets is HOLY MOLY adorable!

I used the ink pads and blender pens to colour each of the cards.  So easy!

Thanks for checking in!

Mini Treat Bag Thinlit ideas!

This was one item in the catalogue that I purchased first, but sadly I hadn't opened it until about a week ago. Don't be like me and wait that long!  It is soo cute!

I made several samples with this thinlit and it is very versatile especially all the "little bits" in the set.

137547 Mini Treat Bag Thinlit $48.95
For club we made two samples with this thinlit but I shared 4 in total so here they are!

This one was created with the Painted Blooms Designer Series paper and how the thinlit creates this cute little bag.

Then by adding the heart framelit in the middle and adding a window sheet you can make a shaker bag. The heart strip is made with the Silver Foil paper and heart line thinlit.

Now for the ONE CARD I had to create!  I saw this one Splitcoast Stampers from Anne-Marie Jeuken so here is my CASE.

You can see the other pieces of the thinlit set here with the "for you" and the star strip.

Also don't forget the amazing Bow Builder punch too!

K

Wax Paper Resist Technique

Here is the latest technique we tried at my Cardmaker's club last week.  Sorry for the picture quality but my camera is having "issues".  Maybe user error?  That's what I'm guessing.

Well, break out that iron and ironing board that is holding all the dirty or clean clothes in your house.  It's time to craft with it!

One small fact about me that you may or may not know is that I don't mind ironing.  I iron shirts, pants, skirts and sometimes hoodies but I DO NOT iron sheets or towels despite what my good friend, Allison, may think ;)  I know it's a weird and wonderful fact but it's true.

I just love the way this technique turned out and it is SUPER easy! One tip though - don't leave your iron on the wax paper for too long or it melts ALL the wax paper onto your shimmer white paper and there won't be a pattern in sight!  Don't ask me how I know this :) Just a few secs is all you'll need!

Thanks for checking in!

A whirlwind weekend!

And I can't believe I survived!

Scrapbook club Friday day and night, Sat - hockey in the afternoon and a class in the evening and Sun - hockey in the early afternoon, Kids class in the late afternoon and a workshop in the evening - PHEW!

I'm tired just typing that (not to mention that it's past 11 on the Sunday night as I'm typing).

So my quick post before I hit the sheets are of last week's club cards.  Oh yeah and earlier in the week I had my Cardmaker's Club.  I think I may forgo the early morning workout tomorrow :)

Here is a tri shutter card I created with the All is Calm Designer Series paper set.

And a close up of the front of the card.

And our technique this month was the Puffy Card technique or Cotton Ball.
So much fun!  I'll post a list of my supplies later on Monday in case you are wondering "how'd she do that?"

Cheers,
K
