Watercolour Wonder Christmas

I did warn you I have been in full blown Christmas mode, right?

It started last week when I made these samples with new Watercolour Wonder Simply Created kit.  It is simply amazing!

135869 $30.95
This kit includes (almost) everything needed to create 20 beautiful cards including envelopes.  The only thing you will need it a few re-inkers  (Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, Smoky Slate and Coastal Cabana), Bermuda Bay ink pad and the Watercolour Winter Too stamp set.

I will be hosting a Christmas card workshop bee to prep all these pieces and assemble some cards in late November so watch for more info on this fun day!

Check out a few of the steps needed to create these lovely watercoloured cards.

Using the paint brush provided, Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler inks. I was a watercolouring fool!
And the letters to make another card (check out all the dif languages and extra letters too).

Best tip ever:  Apply Tombow to the back of the mini letters and attach twine to the back.  Let dry and then punch out letters.  Voila!  Letters perfectly spaced and attached to the string.

These great little die cut pieces are ready for stamping.

{sigh} Will it ever be summer??

Summer . . . I'd settle for a little bit of spring.

As I type this the snowing is coming down something fierce.  Really this shouldn't bug me since it is only MARCH 22nd!  What's a little snow, right?  But seriously will we ever see green grass or a clean car??

Enough whining . . .  on to the the card!

A 5x5 card with matching envie!
I used the Tiny Tags set to add the sentiment.
I used the blender pen to ink these flowers - just a blender pen!
Here is the card recipe:

Stamps - Sweet Summer, Tiny Tags
Inks - Rich Razzleberry, Pear Pizazz
Paper - Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry, Pear Pizazz
Accessories - Framed Tulip embossing folder (did you notice the size of the embossed square!!!), Jewelery Tag punch,  Hemp twine, Rich Razzleberry Taffeta ribbon, blender pen, and sponges.

I have found many blogs and videos online on how to make any size embossed Framed Tulip border.  Check out this video from Chris Kolly.

PS I started with a 4 x 4 1/4" piece of paper for a 4x4 finished square.

Thanks for stopping by.

I wish I had a pet bunny . . .

or at least the one on this stamp.

Just a simple card with a colour combo that I would never have chosen in a million years.  Thanks to the Colour Coach for helping me stretch outside my comfort zone.

The card base is Cajun Craze and Always Artichoke and Perfect Plum are the accent colours.  I'm lovin my new Watercolour Wonder crayons. If you look REALLY close you can see the card base is speckled. The spritzer tool with the Cajun Craze marker makes this cool effect and it's SUPER easy.

Purchase the Watercolour Wonder Crayons by the Color families - just $21.95

Subtles - 119802
Regals - 119803
Brights - 119804
Neutrals - 119805
It looks kind of scary but it's a cool stampin tool! - 16.95

New Watercolour Crayons

Morning :)

Last week in my big boxes of fun I received my new Watercolour Wonder Crayons.  I just LOVE using these with the Aqua painter and watercolour paper.  I also NEEDED this set The Nicest Things because it has the best image for colouring and the sentiment is soo sweet!
I absolutely love how you can create so many different looks for this stamp set just on the colours you choose.

I will show you the sweetest bunny ever in tomorrow's card.

Cheers,
K
