SPRING Framed Art

It looks NOTHING like spring here in Calgary (and won't be until mid May) but that didn't stop me from creating this SPRING frame project for the kids group Club Create.

Close up of the puddle under the boots, made with Crystal Effects and Bashful Blue re-inker.

I used the Itty Bitty punch pack to create the flowers for the pot.

Merry Christmas, I mean, Happy Spring!!

Regional Make n' Takes

At the Regionals meetings last weekend I got a taste of what my customers feel like - projects all prepped, scored and into little kits :)

The one confession I have - I don't read all the directions!!!  I guess I'll clarify that.  I glance at the sample/photo and go from there.  BUT then if I'm unsure I'll dive into the notes.  I'm going to try and write my directions like SU does theirs and see if they are easier to follow.

Anyways, enough of true confessions, here were our projects.

Gorgeous note pad cover with the Clockworks set - it's on my wish list now!  I love the scoring used for texture on the cover.  Love my Simply Scored tool!

This one was made with a template and sponging Gumball Green ink.  Just use a 1" circle punch and make some swiss cheese out of a piece of cardstock  Easy peasy!

Super cute mini card box.  Use 2 - Two Tags dies and a piece of cardstock 2 7/8 x 6 3/4, scored at 2" and 4 3/4".   Score again on the long edge 1/2" from each edge.  The cards are super mini 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 cards.
 Thanks for checking in!

Calgary swap cards

Here's a few of the swap cards on display at the Regional meetings.  I don't have the name of the creator of these beautiful cards but WOW!  Some great ideas here.

Memo to self - buy Pool Party embossing powder and that darn large butterfly. ** Some of the photos may be a bit blurry as some of them are on super zoom!

I love the simple rainbow of colour!

Simply Stunning. List - must get pool party embossing powder

Sorry this one is a bit blurry but I just had to share

An award winning swap card. Clever!

Incredible banner!  I love it!

Such an amazing group of demonstrator creations!  Thanks for sharing your creativity with everyone at the Regionals.

Cheers,
K

Easter Kids Camp fun

Well I think I picked the WORST weekend to have Kids camp although in all fairness I pick the weekends in September so it is all up to chance.

My Kids Camps are crazy fun and usually I have 8 - 7-9 year olds but with that crazy weather I had 3 - yep 3 kids in my morning group.  We still had a fantastic time and created cards, decorated cupcakes and made treat bags.

Here are a few of our projects.

A fun pocket St Patrick's Day card.

Happy Easter Little Chick.  Thanks to Kathy Brooke's sample on Stampin Connection

And a bunny box filled with treats
Then the kids really got creative and made their own Fancy Favour Easter baskets.

I'm thinking I jinxed the weather with all these spring crafts.  Sorry :(

Hope you have a great day!

Cheers,
K

Snow Mondays - Arghh

Morning

Sorry for the slightly late Monday post.  Let's just say my brain is a little snowy :)

What a weekend!!  A fantastic Stampin Up event on Saturday, followed by a Canuck win against the LA Kings, and then Kids camp on Sunday and date night at the Canuck/Flames game (thanks Monica) and a loss :(  It was great fun but would have been much better to end on a win. Oh well.

Here are a few snapshot of the Regional meeting on Saturday. What do you take pics of at Stampin Up events??  Well, your great friends and the food of course.

Look at my fabulous team and great guests that joined us at the Regionals.  There were 27 of us in total (but some were taking pics of the awesome display boards.)
I made these treat boxes for everyone on that attended guests and downline.  Inside were cookies made with the cookie stamps, Kit Kat, Smarties, chocolate easter eggs and some mints, plus a little 3x3 card.

Here is the box full of goodies :)  Sitting through a day of presentations can make you a little sleepy so sugar is a great pick me up!
Woo Hoo!  Congrats Kim!  3 people in my group won!  Congratss to Amy and Maria as well!  (I didn't get a pic of them because they were sitting across the room).

Fantastic swaps and more to share later this week!
What are these ladies all lining up for??

She seems really excited there in the front row :)
Yep, you guessed it!!  The best and yummiest chocolate cupcakes.  They were SOOOO GOOD. Consensus was that the icing super good!

My table enjoying their cupcakes and bonus make n' take projects.

These ladies too love cupcakes.
And I love the smiling faces as they create some great Make n' takes!!
Thanks for checking in!  I'll have less of a snowy brain once I get the driveway shovelled :)

Cheers,
K

Surprise Saturday post :)

Surprise!!  An unexpected Saturday post as I'm at the Calgary Regionals today.

I'm attending the meetings today with 25 of my team members and guests - CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT?!?!  Who would have thunk that 5 years ago I would have this large of a team attending Regionals!!  Crazy!

I'm super happy, glad and honoured that they are taking the day to learn more about Stampin UP and participate in a fun day of stamping and learning.  I KNOW they will have fun!

I made a few swaps to "swap" with today so I hope I have lots to of great new cards to share with you next week.

What do you think?

Each one of the dresses are different.  The paper is from the Print Poetry stack and blinged out with different ribbons, pearls and rhinestones, In Colour Dahlias or the Vanilla flower trim. They were a blast to create.

Here's how I made that fancy strapless dress out of the Dress Up framelits.

130101 Dress Up framelits $30.95
Die cut the 2nd smallest Labels framelit.  I used plain card stock here so it's easier to see.
Line up the sleeveless dress framelit over top of the label piece. Be sure the bottom of the dress is centered and the top of the label should be peeking just over the top.

Run it through the Big Shot and this is what it will look like.  Embellish!
Hope you have fun creating this weekend!  Kids Camp is next for me!

Cheers,
K
