Lift me up Scrapbook page

I ended last week with my Scrapbook club and we created this.

I love this club as everyone takes the page layout and makes it there own. I didn't take pics of everyone's layout but there were layouts with Maui photos as well as hiking pics.

Are you interested in scrapbooking? Our next club is on March 10th and if you are free I'd love to have you join us to try it out!

Here are some previous club layouts.

Contact me if you are interested.

Cheers,

It's my Party Scapbooking!

Last weekend we had our monthly Scrapbooker's meeting and we created a fun page with the It's my Party paper!

I'm loving the colours and variety of patterns in this paper pack!

The accessories that co-ordinate with this paper is awesome too! So awesome that some of them are taking a bit longer to arrive but trust me they are WORTH THE WAIT! Washi tape, black baker's twine and enamel dots - woo hoo!

K

Traditional page meets Project Life Cards

Another scrapbook page to share!

I realized I have quite a few photos from our last Disney trip in 2013. Scrapbooking this page was fun and time consuming. Why? I had to go through all the photos to see how little the kids were when I was looking through pics!

Time goes by so quick so I have to get those photos off of the computer and into my scrapbooks!

This is one of favourite photos since it captured the fun we had at Typhoon Lagoon and how excited we were to eat this sundae! It was called a garbage pail sundae and YUM was it ever good.  Notice how I didn't share the photo of me chowing down on the ice cream.  Those will be left OUT of the scrapbook :)

I wasn't able to find the perfect paper to go with my photo so I used the ice cream cone from the Sale A Bration stamp set Honeycomb Happiness and Gorgeous Grunge to make the background paper. My colour scheme was Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay and Watermelon Wonder plus I added some journaling cards from the Project Life set This is the Life.

Tubin' at Norquay

Here's another page from the weekend. I'm going to do a Project Life layout on  the adjacent page with all photos we took from that day tubing at Norquay and skiing at Sunshine.

I love using the vellum, something I wouldn't normally do as an overlay over the Night of Navy cardstock.

Many of these products are retired Stampin Up goodies but they could easily be adapted with current products or ones from your stash.  The best part of this workshop was using up the prodcuts I have been hoarding . . . or collecting :)  You know you are doing the same thing! Get those products out and stamp or scrapbook today!

K

Today is . . .

not Monday? I lost a day. The kids had the day off school so I apparently took the day off too :)

My weekend was fabulous for a few of reasons 1) Scrapbooking on Saturday meant an entire crafting day and no cooking 2) Pete had the last 4 days off so I had help at home with laundry and cooking (and nursing Andrew) and 3) Andrew's surgery on Friday was great (with exception to the 2 hours after he got home and was starving and a bear) it has been great.  He looks like a little chipmunk but handling all the icing, pain meds and mouth rinsing like a pro.  Phew, glad the worst is over.

Now onto my wonderful scrapbook adventure on Saturday.  I went with my two friends Michele and Jackie to a crop in SE Calgary. It was a lot of work, I won't lie, but I got my scrapbooking mojo back!

This week I'll share some of my pages.  Here is a one page layout I made to go along with one from my club layouts.

Oh I wish I could go back!

This page was pretty easy to assemble with the Project Life Happiness Is cards. Go check out the many Project Life products on the clearance rack! I love how I can combine the cards with a traditional 12x12 scrapbook page.

Here is the layout from my scrapbook club from November 2015.

This was a trip I earned through Stampin UP last year and I took my sister. Pete just got a new job and couldn't take time off so it was a great girls trip!

Year in Review scrapbook page

Each year with our Christmas card I send a Christmas letter with some highlights of our year.  We each write a short paragraph about our year and it's always good for a few giggles on what the kids consider "highlights".

We also add some our pics from the year.  I don't keep a hard copy of our letter but I thought I would like to have a keepsake of our annual highlights.  For my January scrapbook club page I created this colourful "Year in Review".

Each of the photos and card stock are 2-3/4 x 2-3/4 and I just arranged them around a base of Basic Black.  I love this layout since it would be great page when you have tons of pics for one event or one theme.

I am in LOVE with the Number of Years bundle in the Occasions Catalogue. Be sure to add it to you list of MUST HAVES!

K

Scrapbooker's page - Project Life meets 12x12

My scrapbook ladies are amazing and I challenged them this month to bring their photos to club. Well, in actual fact I tempted them with free product but IT WORKED! We created a half Project Life and half 12x12 page and it was a hit!  They saw how easy it was to create a page using the PL cards and embellishments plus by adding a few stamps and inks (we already own) it makes for a pretty WOW scrapbook page in no time at all.

I didn't take photos of all their layouts as they did have photos on them but trust me they were amazing!  I used the Let's Get Away project Life cards for this page but all the cards are all amazing and can fit almost any occasion or event.

These photos were from a Stampin UP Getaway in 2013.  Just an amazing trip!

K

Scrapbooking with the new Little Letters framelits

Howdy!

Another weekend down faster than the speed of light :( Of course we had another weekend of hockey (a win and a loss for each of the boys) and a trip to Peter's :)  I {heart} hockey games at SAIT!  One more weekend to go with playoffs, two full week of exams and then we are DONE!  Bring on summer!

I had club this weekend and we did a fun page with the new Maritime Designer Series paper and some of my hand carved fish stamps.  The Little Letter framelits make for quick and easy titles on a page and even ones with lots of letters.

 Thanks for checking in!

Scrapbooker's pages

Last week was also my scrapbook club meeting on Friday.  Because things have been a little "crazy" around here I opted for a "Sketch club".

I found this Basic Gray sketch of a scrapbook page and each person adapted the sketch to their photos or theme.

I loved everyone's pages so I asked if I could snap a shot to share with you.  I'd definitely do this again if my club ladies are willing :)

Thanks for being understanding of my crazy life and for making such great pages!

Scrapbook Friday!

Or otherwise known as club day!

I initially designed this as a birthday page for Nathan's party but it can be changed to a dance page or any other theme you might like.

I love the new On Film framelits and I just (heart) the film strip one. They make a great addition to any scrapbook page or card.

Have a great weekend! We have a busy, crazy one so cross your fingers I survive!

Winter Frost Scrapbook page

Today and tomorrow are my last club / class days for 2013 :)   I'm excited for the break but also excited to share this page.

Yesterday was a fantastic day to take some snow pictures but if you live in Calgary you know we'll have many more opportunities to take pics of toboganning, skiiing, and making snowmen.

Thankful Tablescapes Scrapbook page

This past weekend my sister helped us take some family photos at Fish Creek and I loved how most of them turned out.  Okay, all of the photos with the kids sans glasses were terrible (eyes closed in ALL of them) but the other ones were pretty good.  So with transition lenses and all, this will be the family photo in our Christmas cards!

I have a small goal for scrapbook club and that is to create ACTUAL pages with my photos on them and so far I'm two for two - September and October!!  There were quite a few nice pics so I wanted to incorporate some of my faves onto one layout.  There are some goofy ones too but those may have to be added to my Project Life book.

I used the Thankful Tablescapes kit to create this page plus a few doo dads here and there.  I love the stamped sentiment - "the best things in life aren't things"

Thanks for checking in.

Cheers,
K

Epic Day Scrapbook page!!! Love this stuff!

Morning!

This page is hot of the presses as I JUST finished it now.  I'm still waiting on a small embellishment and title to add but here goes.

This layout uses the new Epic Day Designer Series paper - WOW is all I can say!
Do you have a hard time getting pages completed?  Would you like to meet other scrapbookers?  Next Friday, I have an open scrapbook day to come and try it out!  We have a great time and you will be put on a "budget" to spend each month, earn hostess dollars, and get your pages completed!

Contact me for details about my new scrapbook club beginning in Sept.

Have a great weekend and Happy Mother's day to you!

K

Life happens

Hey there

Sorry for the absence the past couple of days.  Not much to say other than life happens.

This week is my Scrapbook club and we are working on a fun mini album project.  We did this one for my card maker's club too as it works great for both a scrapbooking and card project.

I made this one for Pete to capture some great memories from our trip to Hilton Head Island.

I can think of tons ideas you can use this mini photo book for!!
