Hearth and Home PLUS Just Kidding

Okay here is a card that's been brewing in my head for DAYS . . . WEEKS even!

Most of the cards I have been creating with this thinlits set in mind have been windows looking to the outside.  Well, I wanted to create one looking to a house or living room setting and I THINK I HAVE DONE IT!

These ladies are adorable! I left the card blank but it could be a cute birthday card, friendship card or even a goodbye card.

This set is called Just kidding and the sayings in this set make it a MUST have!

K

Halloween Happy Scenes

I will admit I don't make a lot of Halloween cards but I LOVE Stampin UP's Halloween goodies! We make the best stuff EVER!  I loved the cute corner stamp in the Happy Scenes stamp set so here is my take with the window thinlits too.

The photo doesn't really do this card justice (in my opinion) but it's because you can't see the black Glimmer paper.  I also trimmed my window to it would have straight sides and turned the die cut on it's edge.  I should add some of that spooky white cotton web stuff to this card too!

Cheers, I mean BOO to you!

Hearth and Home Thinilits - double wide window

I am in love with these thinlits as they are soo versatile! I can't wait to share with you some of the fun creations I made using the thinlits plus other stamp sets.

Here is the "extra wide" window created from using the above thinlits. I saw this amazing video from Angela Lorenz how to create this double window and TADA life changing :)  Okay maybe not that extreme but the possibilities are endless!

Hope you enjoy this week's cards using the Hearth and Home thinlits!

Christmas Pillow Box

Seriously, it's 24 degrees out and I'm stamping Christmas. Call me crazy!

While I'm playing with these Christmas goodies I'm actually excited about using my non-Holiday catalogue goodies this weekend. I'm going to make my cards and scrapbook page for my September clubs or at least that is the plan! You know how best laid plans . . .

I really love the cute little candy cane in this framelit set.  I can see many uses for it in the future!

Cheers,
K

Halloween Pillow box

Another fun sneak peek at the Square Pillow Box die.  I used the square window die to create a peek a boo hole in the box.

I stamped the trick or treat saying (can you see it?) on a window sheet with Staz On and made a bit of crinkly bits with Tangelo Twist card stock. I can see filling this box with caramels or a mini chocolate bar or two. Plus the spooky spiders are on the whole box too.

Check back tomorrow for a cute Christmas sample too!

Cheers,
K

Sneak peeks from the Holiday Catalogue!

Hope you had a fantastic weekend!  I'm so excited that I have had such great response to my WOW with Washi Tape class!  It filled up so quickly and I'm super pumped to stamp with friends again.

This weekend I had a chance to play with my new Holiday catalogue goodies, well at least a few of them.  I'm excited about this new thinlit called Square Pillow Box die. They make these cute boxes to hold either a gift card or some small treats.  I made a few of these for the upcoming seasons.

Here is my fall sample.  This would be cute on the table for Thanksgiving, a back to school treat for the teacher or a little gift for a co-worker.

Of course these thinlits also have a co-ordinating stamp set too!

Make a note - A Little Something Stamp set and Square Pillow Box die!

Add it to your September wish list # 140858 $58.50 (w) or #140859 $52.50 (c)

K

Where's the WOW?

Were you wondering?  What is the WOW project for March?

Unfortunately with Parent/Teacher interviews and spring break the last week of March there isn't a date to hold a WOW class this month.  Awww, says the stamping world :)

Don't worry as I will work on a super fantastic April WOW that you won't want to miss! I am also working on a fantastic class for April as well but you'll have to wait some more for that reveal!

Here is one more project using the Mini Treat Bag framelits.  I love how demos use our Stampin UP products in so many different ways.  This idea was from Linda Parker and uses the Kraft cardstock.  It is awesome and so sturdy!!

Here are the instructions and a template to create your own.

1) Die cut 2 mini treat bags from Kraft card stock.
2) Measure 2 peaks from the edge and score.
3) Count 5 more peaks (7 in total) and score 1/2 way.
4) Cut off the raised edges of the bag.
5) Repeat on both die cut pieces.
6) Cut a box base at 1-5/8 x 4-5/8 and score 1/2" at each end.
7) Assemble with sticky strip or Fast Fuse.

Thanks for checking in!

Cheers,
K

Mini Treat Bag Thinlit ideas!

This was one item in the catalogue that I purchased first, but sadly I hadn't opened it until about a week ago. Don't be like me and wait that long!  It is soo cute!

I made several samples with this thinlit and it is very versatile especially all the "little bits" in the set.

137547 Mini Treat Bag Thinlit $48.95
For club we made two samples with this thinlit but I shared 4 in total so here they are!

This one was created with the Painted Blooms Designer Series paper and how the thinlit creates this cute little bag.

Then by adding the heart framelit in the middle and adding a window sheet you can make a shaker bag. The heart strip is made with the Silver Foil paper and heart line thinlit.

Now for the ONE CARD I had to create!  I saw this one Splitcoast Stampers from Anne-Marie Jeuken so here is my CASE.

You can see the other pieces of the thinlit set here with the "for you" and the star strip.

Also don't forget the amazing Bow Builder punch too!

Cheers,
K

Pop n' Cuts projects 3

Pop n' Cuts bonus day!  So very excited as I have two projects for you today!

Again thanks to Amanda Bates for some of her great ideas with the Pop n' Cuts die.

Here is a funky fold card called a Z-fold.  See the fancy edges on the front of the card.

I love these suckers from the Sweets for the Sweet stamp set.

And last but not least a treat box for Easter candy.  Nathan calls it a mini Tim Horton's Tim Bits box.

I hope you liked the Pop n' Cuts projects I shared this week.  Hope you have a great weekend and fingers crossed for a fantastic last weekend of Olympics!

Pop n' Cuts projects day 2

I made this next project for my sister to share some of her fun photos of her new granddaughter.  Our little new one, Annie is soo sweet but with this digital age it's hard because you always have photos on your phone or computer but never in REAL life!  Now she can carry this little mini scrapbook in her purse to share some photos with friends and family.

I die cut the Pop n' Cuts card base in Chocolate Chip and stamped it with the Best of Shelli set (c) 133488.  The baby images are from the new set Baby We've Grown (w) 133086 $29.95 (c) 133089 $21.95.

Thanks to Amanda Bates for some of her great ideas with the Pop n' Cuts die.

The Designer Series paper I used here is from the Soho Subway line (130140).

There's another project to come tomorrow so check back to see more fun with the Pop n' Cuts die.

Cheers,
K

Pop n' Cuts projects Day 1

Man, it's been hard to tear myself away from these Olympics!  Are you just as addicted as I am?  I think I'm lucky that most of the live coverage is done by noon so I can actually get some stuff done!!

So on to my project :)

On the long weekend (in between Olympic coverage) I worked on several projects and samples that can be made with the Pop n' Cuts die above and beyond the card and gift card holder I shared yesterday.  And I was super excited to see the Label Pop n' Cut insert on the Weekly Specials too!

Here is a fun card for the guy in your life!

I added a 3-1/2 x 3-1/2 piece to the front of the label to change it up a bit.

#130160  Here is the label piece that is on sale for $20.21.

So are you loving the wonders of this great die??  Just wait I have more tomorrow :)

Cheers,
K

Big Shot presentation and the Pop n' Cuts die

Here are a few more samples from my Big Shot presentation in July.

I found many great ideas on how to use the Pop n' Cuts die base to make fantastic pocket cards and gift card holders and now I can't stop!

Here is the Pop n' Cuts base plus the Labels insert.

Card Base Pop' N Cuts base - 130099 $48.95

Label Insert Pop' N Cuts die - 130160 $ 26.95

It makes a pretty stunning card, I think :)

When you open it up it gets all pretty and colourful!

Now for the great versatility of this die!  If you score the card base at 1, 3 and 7 1/2 inches from the plain end of the die you can create these.

These make great invitations, gift card holders or photo holders!  Great for the family photo or annual Christmas letter.

This die and all it's great uses will be the focus on an upcoming Big Shot club class!

Have a great weekend!

Cheers,
K
