Blog Candy

Hi everyone

I haven't done a blog candy in a while so here goes. . .

Post a comment or follow me and you will be entered to win a selection of 10 Christmas cards.  I'll choose (or more accurately get one of the kids to choose) the winner next week.  What's a blog candy?  You can't unwrap it, taste it or smell it nor will it add calories to your diet.  It's just a little treat or goodie for coming to visit my blog.

It's that EASY!

Onto today's new post.

I often get teased that I'm a NEAT FREAK.   Well, if you ask Pete he would adamantly disagree with you as my bed side table is a DISASTER!   I don't even think you can see the table part of it.  Enough disclosure.

Well, yesterday while I was creating I thought I'd better take a photo of the creative process.  I too get messy! (but honestly after I took the photo I had to clean up), but not until I finished all the cards.

So while blog hopping (or visiting other blogs) I came across Gretchen Barron's fantastic cards with the Hollly & Jolly rub-ons and Jolly Holiday Designer Series paper.  Then I came across Lee Ann Greff's wonderful tutorial as well.  These ladies are soo talented why re-event the wheel.

So I created these.  I kept some of the designs the same and others I changed.
The Holly & Jolly rub-ons are on page 184 of the Idea Book and Catalogue and only $9.75 for 4 sheets.  These cards were created with 3 sheets of each Very Vanilla, Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler.  A little Jolly Holiday pattern paper (and I do mean just a little), some Cherry Cobbler seam binding, Very Vanilla and Old Olive Taffeta.   A few punches thrown in and voila!  10 great cards.

So don't forget to join me or post a comment and you will be entered to win a selection of 10 Christmas cards.  Not the ones above but a great selection of cards that I have created in the past few months.

Cheers,
K

  1. Even your "mess" looks tidy! But, in order to create, we must get messy!
    Nice cards!

  2. Nice to see that you can "let loose" occasionally. Your mess looks like my clean. Maybe that's why I like to create at your house more than my own :)

  3. I think cherry cobbler is one of my favorite colors!
