Private Kids class
Classes, classes, classes! In the past few weeks I have been doing a variety of private classes for various groups. A work group, an expectant Mom's group (all expecting twins believe it or not!) and this week I have a fun group of mini crafters. I was asked if I do classes during spring break and I normally don't as most kids and their parents are ofF traveling some place warm. But luckily this one worked out and it's a go on Wednesday.
If you have a group of friends ready for a fun crafting evening contact me. I provide all the crafting entertainment, you provide the group!
Even though Circle Circus is a retired set it's still one of my faves!
These are the cards from my Expectant Mom's class. We had a great time and I got to reminisce about being pregnant and those early sleepless nights. I wish all those new moms the best of luck and I hope to craft again with them soon!
Cheers,
K

Stamping with toddlers?
Greetings! Hope you are surviving the snow and ice!
I had a fun day on Thursday stamping with toddlers believe it or not! It's been a while since I have "taught" such little ones but it was great to see their curiousity and awe of everything. Especially my cool garbage cans.
We "technically" stamped with the kids or more like with the "feet" of the kids and made these.
I borrowed the foot of my great-niece Lucy and made sure it was bath night for her. We used Old Olive ink with a brayer and some fancy blingy circles to decorate!
I had a great time stamping with these new moms and kids and hope to again in the future!
Here is a few photos of what will be available at the Lake Bonavista craft fair this weekend (Sat and Sun.) Stop by and say hi!

Valentine's for you!
Valentine's day is just around the corner and whether you have little ones, school aged kids or if you are a teacher it's nice to have little treats for those around us.
Here are some projects I made with the new Valentine's day offerings from Stampin UP. Many of these products are only available until Jan 27th so be sure to contact me ASAP and I can add these to my order this week! Plenty of time for you to create and assemble before the 14th.
The sweetheart treat bags are AWESOME and easily to fill, fold and embellish. And the pre-printed Sweet Sayings cards and envelopes are super cute. I CASED this idea from Simone Bartrum but added a photo instead of a mini calendar. I think I'll send this out for my mom for Valentine's day.
Here are the products I used.
If you are in the need of individual class valentines check these out! I saw them at Leadership and they are adorable.
Thanks for checking in.
Cheers,
K

Kids Craft Fair for Kids by Kids!
I am participating in a Kids Craft Fair (geared towards the Kid buyer) at the Lake Bonavista Community Center on Dec 7th. I thought this would be a great opportunity to have some young crafters have fun creating and raise some money in the process. **This sale is separate from their regular craft fair and ALL proceeds raised from this event will be donated to a charity to be determined by the group.
Last June, when I organized the kids cardmaking event for Alberta Flood Fund it dawned upon me that I don't do enough of this stuff with my own kids. We may donate to different charities throughout the year but we don't often involve the kids. Now, Andrew and Nathan would NOT participate in a CRAFTING event (it would be like pulling teeth) but I know some kids that just love to play with paper and punches and this would be FUN! The whole goal of organizing this event is to make it enjoyable for the kids and teach a little goodwill in the process.
Please discuss this with your child before you "volunteer" them to join. Explain the reason why they are joining and if they have any insight as to what charity/cause they may like to donate to.
At my weekend Kids Camp we made two other cards as well. My goal for this year's Kids Camp is to create a funky fold card at each camp and this months' card was the Criss Cross card.
Please contact me to join my Kids Craft Fair group!
Cheers,
K

Kids Camp begins!!
I love the first Kids Camp to start the year! It's my "back to school". New kids, new projects and new fun!
This project began with a brainstorm one night that I couldn't sleep (that happens often).
I found these blank calendars at Walmart, laminated them. Add a 12x12 canvas, some paper and punches and TONS of Mod Podge and VOILA!
It was soo hard to keep this project on the down low - I wanted to share it with everyone but I kept it secret! My Club Create kids made their own version of this board and I hope this calendar will keep them organized!
Some of the papers were modge podged and some were popped up!
This is a photo of the work in progress! We weren't sure if it was bomb that went off or punch art maddness!
Here was the alternate version my kids in the group Inky Thumbs (7-9 year olds) made. They were all amazing and unique in their own way.
If you have kids that love to craft be sure to check out my posting tomorrow about my Kids Craft Fair for Kids by Kids!
Cheers,
K

More pics of the Alberta Flood Fundraiser
I could not pass up sharing these last photos with you. The kids (and teens) were great stampers, so serious and "into" creating the cards.
After the event the kids and I assembled the remaining kits!
Thanks Andrew and Nathan for helping me pull this together in less than two days!
Great photography too, Nathan!
Cheers,
K

Great day! Alberta Flood Fundraiser!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone to everyone who attended the fundraiser yesterday.
Despite my worry that no one would come I had over 50 people attend the event and we made 74 cards (37 kits). The total donation so far is $480 plus I have 10 kits remaining. If you are interested in purchasing a kit of 2 birthday cards for $10 contact me ASAP! All the pieces are inside, peel and stick, plus add some kid creativity and voila! I'd love to be able to donate the full $580 to the Alberta Flood Fund by the end of the weekend!
Thank you to my sister, Stephanie who baked yummy cookies for everyone to have after they created!
Check out the fun!
These were some pretty creative kids!
Thanks for a great day and I hope you enjoyed making your cards!
